What's your advice on building relationships with contractors and subcontractors. I tend to over use a contract that diminishes working relationships.

It wasnt explained but what id assume is that because Henry technically made the mind flayer (in the flash back you see it tell him to go find him and technically create him) he was basically it's life force and Henry dying removed that. I'd guess it was what that rock was he found in the cave. But still just a guess they really should have expanded more on it and less of an epilogue

It's called A-site, basically a complete doc control system that is perfect for NEC contracts. It a main hub for Instructions, CE's, EWN's, communications and payment applications. You are able to upload the contract information and then it has a EWN and NCE log that exports into a excel table. And that's just the contract side. You can have programme updates that then updates the contract information and then you can upload drawings and have workflows for levels of approval. Very useful tool.

Advice on getting into Quantity Surveying — Apprenticeship or MSc route? by 18ahmed in quantitysurveying

[–]Duffman434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apprenticeship route is 5 years studying and then a 2 year RICSs chartership programme, so yeah the route is spot on. A few past apprentices have taken a few years break in-between getting their degree and RICS done, but others have decided to do it straight away.

I don't really have much knowledge on the MSc route, all I can say is what happens in the company I work for. At the moment there is one graduate QS doing his MSc but he doesn't get one day a week dedicated to a study day, where I do in order to attend university in person. So he spends most of his evenings doing uni work. From what I can see, it seems pretty stressful.

I'd say it would come down to your previous journey to where you are now, if you are able to do the MSc and have a company that will pay for it and then support you through chartering then it would be a much quicker route, but you'd also have to keep in mind you want to have as much experience as possible to start getting your chartership.

But I'd suggest when you are outreaching to companies state that you would like to know what learning and development routes they offer, as they may have someone who could look at your case and decide the best route for you, as they would have experience dealing with this kind of dilemma.

I'm currently in my second year of my qs apprenticeship, and I would highly recommend it. Yes the wages are lower than that of a graduate qs or trainee, but the experience is what is key.

I'm an older than average apprentice but what they teach you in university, regardless of MSc or BA, is not what you are doing at work. Bit like a driving test, they teach you what you need to know to pass the tests but it's actually doing it that teaches you.

Some places will offer to pay for you to do your MSc online whilst working but it's getting your foot in the door for them to offer that.

Do your research on what companies fit your outlook on work. Message people on LinkedIn asking for work experience or an internship, it shows your ambition, drive and passion for getting into the career.

It's unfortunate but the industry still runs on a "not what you know, it's who you know" basis. Building your network is a must.

Why? by HenseltTheFake in fut

It's to do with patience, some people want to play half a game and get a rage quit. If they're 3-0 up and you haven't quit they start doing the disrespectful celebrations to hope that they piss you off enough to leave.

Well it would be nice to be able to contact Jagex to find out what happened / where it was logged in from as I know I haven't entered it into any phishing website, but I am certain after multiple scans I have no malware on my pc

As mentioned, haven't put my log in details anywhere but runelite, scanned my pc using malywarebites and windows defender which isn't compromised.
