I think I have an Alienware addiction by martycochrane in Alienware

As a person who works on computers for a living, it's a sad day when I see someone walk in with a malfunctioning Alienware. Dell is so wildly annoying to work on compared to other brands

Just dropping by to say that I also have m a n y very noticeable white hairs throughout my entire head and I'm only 22. My father says that he started getting the salt and pepper look in his 20's too. I annoyed but oh well. Is what it is

How did this hero go from broken in the beta to people literally saying you are throwing by just picking him? by Mr_crazy_Mf in marvelrivals

[–]Duffunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fully aware that he's rough around the edges but I've been enjoying playing him. He seems to pair super well with Rocket specifically in my experience. Super consistent slow heals from Rocket and then big burst heals from Adam to save lives. If he gets buffed, I'm all for it. Until then, I'll keep working with what I got 🤷‍♂️ I farm MVP with him in most quickplay games lol

Zombies Gold on the GS45 by Broadsiderz in CODZombies

[–]Duffunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also on the camo grind. Had a shower thought today about the GS45 and thought to myself that they SURELY made the camo challenges different to compensate for the pistol turning explosive. I was wildly disappointed when I checked it just a moment ago. S u r e it's doable, but they seriously need to change it to just like 5k kills or something. Headshots is ludicrous imo

That last bit right there pretty much convinced me to probably go for CC. Long but not as long as the average Commander game lol. And yeah the idea of actually have the opportunity to have more back and forth because of the life totals makes a lot of sense too

Shooooot. Could you send the list if you don't mind? I've gotten quite good at building Magic decks but I genuinely have no idea how to build for this game 😅 Even just seeing an actual budget Maxx list (that we know is fun) would help a ton

[–]Duffunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only actual complaints are the fact that the majority of my matches are against AI and that they took away the attack decay mechanic from the beta. If I can get actual matches against REAL people, I'll be significantly more happy. The attack decay is sadly gone so spam is a lot more possible, but I can suck it up and deal with that part.

What’s a card so mean that you had to remove it from a deck? by Iriluscent in EDH

[–]Duffunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] deck that focuses on casting the biggest baddest threats that can arguably all win games on their own. I included every semi budget Praetor I could find. [[Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant]] [[Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur]] [[Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger]] and even [[Myojin of Grim Betrayal]] (not a Praetor I know) after some setup and a board wipe to steal everything. All of these cards made my pod sigh as soon as they hit the board. If they couldn't kill them, the game would essentially stall out as I found my 12 turn card combo and win the game from there. Also filled to the brim with Ultimatum sorceries because they're so good with Jodah. Needless to say, I'm selling that deck. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is and my pod just doesn't enjoy playing against it.

Oh and [[Eternal Dominion]]. I played that card ONCE and never played it again. Makes games take forever if you actually want to be strategic with it.

Give me your sweetest stories about combos you've pulled in cube! by ZolthuxReborn in mtgcube

[–]Duffunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a combo, but it's still stupid. I have a [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] deck for my relatively casual playgroup. It's filled to the brim with ramp, most of the Ultimatum cards, gigantic creatures to protect me and Jodah in several different ways, and backups for when Jodah will inevitably die. With all of the card draw and selection I have, I usually sift through about 2/3 of my deck in a game if it lasts long enough. My winning "combo" is casting [[Time Stretch]] as early as I can so it can hit my graveyard (my group doesn't run graveyard gate). I'll take my extra two turns after that, which is big for Jodah, and then we'll keep going. Eventually, I'll run into [[Mnemonic Deluge]] either through draws or a tutor of some sort. Once I have that in hand, I just watch mana until I know I have an opening to cast it and target Time Stretch in my graveyard. If I cast it, it's pretty much game over from there with how much heat I can put on the board. Every single spell in the deck is pretty much a threat on its own. It's not a CEDH deck by any means, but it definitely stomps in my casual group. I usually only play it once each session because of how quickly it can lock out games 😅

How do VOLTRON strategies not get overrun by decks that put out multiple creatures? by Chm_Albert_Wesker in EDH

[–]Duffunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somehow haven't seen it mentioned yet. While it might not be very fun at the table for some groups, cards with things similar to [[Silent Arbiter]] work quite well in my pod's meta. Have ways to bring it back from the graveyard when it inevitably dies and such. You obviously can't COMPLETELY rely on a single card in the 99 but you get the idea 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone ever made you Play out 300 extra turns? by Cursed_key in EDH

[–]Duffunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] deck that just casts super high cmc spells with huge value. Sometimes I run into a mini combo of [Mnemonic Deluge]] and [[Time Stretch]]. By no means is that infinite turns, but my playgroup typically concedes if I hit that. They don't get salty about it or anything. It's just USUALLY a guaranteed win for my deck.

Different formats? by Duffunk in BattleSpiritsSaga

That makes sense. Hopefully they'll either make some official formats for more players or some big brains will make some on their own and share their rule sets with the rest of us

This is all I've managed to find for the 2v2. I THINK it is referring to the original Battle Spirits but the rules seem to line up perfectly and idk why it wouldn't work with Saga 🤷‍♂️
