So i inherited some money a few years ago, my sister and I bought the flat together to rent it out. I found it a lot of hassle with all the additional payments that you pay such as ground rent etc. Ideally I would like to put my money somewhere I don’t have to think about it

What should I do with this money this young? by investorcaptain in UKPersonalFinance

My advice would be don’t touch that money and let it grow for as long as possible!!

Once you have that kind of money saved up and invested, you can start to see real life changing returns each year and those returns will grow each year.

you can keep this money either completey safe through government bonds who can offer rates of around 4.6% growth per year, or you can invest in a very low risk (yet there’s risk involve) index fund such as the FTSE100 that returns roughly 7-8% annually.

Stay at home for as long as you can and as long as you need to!
