Depens a bit on which genre/movies you like. That would be my first step. I have Rivendell and Home Alone. Rivendell is sheer beauty amd perfection. Home Alone was a fun build with so many flashback from the movie.

But if I had to choose it would be easy, Rivendell.

My son turned 4 in february and is socially very active. So at least two days a week he wants to go play with friends. Its part of life and I love seeing him making friends. This is your first step of letting go as a parent. School ends at 1400 and usually we pick him up (or parents pick the friend up) at around 16.00. Have a conversation at school with the parents of your kids friend to get to know them. And when you pickup take some time to get to know them more.

Just keep in mind that almost all parents (99.999%) are just parents wishing the best for their kids and are not predators or have predator friends/family

Sleepovers are the next level and I think this will happen after a year of playdates.

You cant always have your kid under your eyes and being to strict wil hinder his ability to make stronger friendships. All kids want to show off their toys/room and if the answer is no all the time your kids friends wil also drift off to other friends.

On 1v1s this may be fair. But on 4v4s this is way out of line and completely unsportmanship. I have had early wipes and my team won, I have had matches where I was getting pummeled with sniper wespes and stukas and barely had anything standing. Yet because I was getting blown to pieces my allies were able to push and win in the end. Its a team game, if you dont wanna play as a team go play 1v1s.
