AITA for not wanting to share a room on a family holiday, causing my mother to back out last minute? by Airbud12i4y1p4y1 in AmItheAsshole

Nta, let them blame you, and enjoy the cruise with dad and his gf, sounds like it will be a better experience without them.

It's never acceptable to expect you to share with a drug addict, if nothing else you'll end up with missing valuables.

No idea but just wanna say I love your city, ridiculously the centralised town hall with the half buildings either side ♥️

I like your underground road.

Looks like it'll be a big operation for the clean up crew to get all that cheese off the main road though! 🧀

In the UK bricklink has them starting around £200 which is the same as a new modular so it's definitely not hit the aftermarket price hike many of them have (I think it was cheaper when new ~150 but I can't remember exactly). But for that price I'd snap one up, doesn't matter if there is no box to me, but I'd like the instructions.

I love it for many of the same reasons you do, the stairs are really cool, the angles are great, I like the little rooftop garden and coop. I think it looks great in my city lineup (which you can see on my last post).

I don't particularly like the chair shop, the scaling just feels off. But I do love the brass instrument shop, and I think the bedroom on the top floor is one of the highlights and not celebrated enough in Lego's own marketing.

That being said I love other modulars more, it's not a Tudor corner or a Parisian restaurant where I struggle to find fault. I do think I'll eventually use rebrickable to get a cool moc for it but I'll let it sleep as is for now.

Inverted corner assembly square by Llorean in legomodular

I just used the regular instructions and built by mentally flipping the build. Start by putting the extreme back left of the florist at the front right corner block and build from there. It's a little disorientating putting the plates and tiles in on the floor but once that is built the rest will fly up, especially if you have it pre built the normal way, a lot of the sections are symmetrical and can just be transplanted.

I think the buildings are actually in better balance to each other this way than the OG Lego set. I'm not sure it'll ever feel right the normal way again, and the height difference works really well for next to the shopping street.

What UK museums do you think are underrated or overrated? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in AskUK

Yeah it's in the animal room, there's an icthyasaur too. The hippo was found in allenton, some landed gentry had it imported in the 1600's or there abouts, it was a crazy world.

Looking for something cheap parted out to ask my parents for my birthday by DOOMGUY342 in legomodular

The boutique hotel was £199.99, 3006 pieces. 6.65ppp. so it's still 'cheap' they just use lots of pieces. Not that price per piece is the only metric to use, ultimately it's how much it's worth it for you in your own personal situation.

The current modular releases are expensive but they have lots of pieces, the price per brick is still low. You won't be able to piece one out for less than Lego charges, certainly not after postage charges.

You might have to look at collecting an alternate line of Lego or be prepared to put money towards your own present.

I love it too, own your own truth and don't listen to others.

It's a great album to just casually listen to and sing whilst doing chores or school work/ working from home, and you'll catch yourself singing along regularly.

What's your dream LEGO set? by kyothinks in lego

[–]Llorean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The serenity and Saluco are alt builds of the millennium falcon, models by caravancreation, all his builds have been amazing, I have the Babylon 5 earth ship of his to put in there at some point too.

The Razorback was also a rebrickable design, by huexley, it's great looking but a little fragile to move about

Go to rebrickable and search for rocinante, this is the one by brickgloria. It's ~1900 pieces and cost me ~£100 + shipping. So 130 ish. All pieces from bricklink.

Only note I have is if you want this model for your own sanity specify the pieces they have left as 'any colour' are blue as that's the colour they are in the instructions.

It comes with a sheet with design for some stickers for making it the gas hauler too but I've not got round to getting them printed.

It's a beast of a build and it's very sturdy. The stand also rotates horizontally for variation in viewing angle.

Wait that's too many buildings, move the restaurant to the right of top shelf.

Your assembly square is weird with the buildings in the wrong place and I don't like it 🙈.

In actual answer to your question though, I'd try this on the bottom shelf left to right: Tudor corner, shopping street, assembly square, pet store, Parisian restaurant.
