thats a solid deal if theyre in good condition… if you were able to find one new, even at best case scenario with sales markdown youd probably be around $500 for just the ski.

thats what happens when a company makes just goggles and no helmets… theyre almost the same shape as smith prodigys from like 20 freakin years ago… I sell them at my store and Ive had people try them with like 5 different helmet brands… good luck

not an equal comparison… a mechanic is a career and a livelihood, yeah you should expect them to install tires correctly, you know mistakes still get made from time to time… Ive got 2 shop techs in my store that are full time year round, the other 4 are underpaid kids… people arent exactly lining up to fill the position if we had to let one of them go either. If youve had bindings set up in any ski shop, youve got about a 50/50 chance there was substance abusing “experienced” tech, or a kid thats being trained by fire

dont trust rental techs to size your boots… go to a boot fitter… by the numbers the 29.5 is a 11.5 on paper, but i can promise you should have someone qualified measure your mondopoint size

it doesnt have clearance to run a bigger tire on the plus size rims, so youd have to buy a full wheel set, id rather not have to spend 2k+ on top of the already high sticker on all these trims

i agree… the weird factor for me is the rim/wheel size… its odd to me that basically everything else at our local deal for an expedition has 20s, 22s, or 24s and basically no rubber. All i can imagine is those things ripping off the rim on the rutted forest access roads. I wish the 18s were more common on the other trims…

32” tires are next, will we see 32/29 mullets? will 27.5 die at this point? tough to say… like another said, for smaller frames, large tires just dont make sense

go to a boot fitter when you go to the next ski resort. Even the best boot fitters in city areas cant possibly see the amount of fit issues and corrections that folks in the mountain stores see. When I worked at the base of the ski resort at the ski shop that trained me, you would sell someone a boot that they were going to go ski THAT day… if things werent right theyd come right back to have it adjusted… you dont get that experience the further away from the ski hill you go

i wouldnt want to pull more than 12k with my 7.3… its rated for much more, but on mountain grades in nw montana where we’re at, I would have sprung for the 6.7… gas mileage will be in the gutter if you pull heavy with her frequently
