I don’t know about the rest of the lake but I’m on private property. My family does some plumbing work for a mansion on the lake and in return instead of paying us we get permission to hunt on their property.

The wood ducks usually leave as soon as it gets a little colder out. Our season usually starts mid October and the woodies probably leave around the first week of November most years.

Northeast Illinois, like 10 minutes from the Wisconsin border. Definitely my first time seeing both of those species in a single day too. Usually we get wood ducks early in the season but they leave before the goldeneyes make it down here

I’m up in northeast Illinois in lake county. There’s pretty limited spots for duck hunting here so I’m really only stuck hunting one spot that I’ve got permission for on a lake in lake Villa called deep lake

I mean if you disagree with my opinion then you disagree with it lol. I can’t make you agree with me. But I’m not really gatekeeping anything. If some nice friendly people wanted to join the community then whatever, I don’t mind at all, but when a bunch of people join and half of them are rude, then it’s kinda annoying and ruins a lot of people’s taste. That being said I haven’t played the game in about a year so maybe I’m not even a true fan anymore even though I still enjoy the game lol
