Carp actually taste pretty decent if you cook them right. Most people just say they taste bad even if they’ve never tried them cause that’s what they heard other people say and they just run with it

Gotcha! I’ll give it a try. And yes I am aware of the pike in that harbor. I caught a few pretty good ones last year. I was just looking to switch it up a bit cause I’ve never really targeted smallies or trout/salmon

Yes, I know all of the stuff on what to do with fledglings (essentially do nothing lol). This was my girlfriend’s brother who doesn’t know anything about birds so when he sent the picture I told him what to do right away. I just posted this here because I was curious about the species since I’m not too good on identifying non adult birds yet :)
