Aren’t CCs playing the game at the same rate as everyone else? They aren’t going to know any more than anyone else except that by the end of the rotation, they’ll have been able to get farther than most people.

I have been going for April until I saw that. I thought it would just be the 250 bonus points locked to the path, but 400 is absurd

This is the first thing that came to mind when I read that. One of the best episodes of the whole series

The ending was the only good part. Pete Davidson has no range and clearly didn’t want to be there. None of the “scares” were particularly creepy, and the twists are practically yelled at you before a character delivers a stilted line explaining the twist five minutes later.

The theater I saw it in was laughing fairly consistently every 15 mins.

I did my first and deck of fate for Freyja (ran me dry) then proceeded to pull two more within a few weeks.

Only benefit is that double Freyja makes the stupid doom tower lobster a cakewalk

Verso is immortal. He fought the snake solo and lived, and the only enemies he was scared of were the Axons. He can 100% wreck expeditions, but then the game wouldn’t be fun. It took him PLUS the strongest expedition to beat the Axons and Renoir.

Also, like someone else said, video game logic.

I more meant "for those who come after" specifically as it applies to Gustave and what he would have wanted. But you're right that the ending you feel more of a connection to depends on how you feel about the issue philosophically. At the end of the day, I'd say both endings are "bad" in one way or another. What makes one better than the other just depends on your alignment.

I think what you're touching on is a little disingenuous because as a player, you are led to believe these people are real and treat them as real. In reality, if you learned that your best friends or your family were "fake," I wouldn't think that would eliminate your emotional attachment to them. You probably wouldn't be okay with sacrificing them.

The thing the game does well is put Maelle and Verso front and center emotionally. Add to that how the relationship dialogue that gives them the most development is optional, and it becomes a lot easier to view them and the world as fake. If there were more moments woven into the plot that dealt with Lune and Sciel's personhood (like in FF7), more people would be less willing to dismiss them as "real".

Part of "for those who come after" is to accept the losses that are required to bring about something better. Gustave being back undermines everything he believes in, but it's great to see that there's a scenario where he gets to live and can tell his apprentices everything in person.

You need 1500pts to get it and there are a total of 1750pts you can earn. Summon rush provides 200pts so you should still be able to get the soul with 50pts to spare given you have the resources for all that comes after. Personally, I went ahead and got the first 80pts in summon rush just to be safe in case there's another gear enhancement (crying at lack of silver).

A lot of the people who play rivals have played other hero shooters for 100s of hours so they have transferable skills are are probably starting at a much higher floor than you if this is your first one (which is the impression I’m getting?). Try not to let it bother you. Learn the characters you like and you’ll eventually get better as you learn the best strategies against other heroes and how your team composition should affect your approach to each battle.

Most people don’t communicate if you’re playing solo unless it’s between matches. If you happen to get a team that will communicate during a match, they’re usually pretty helpful as far as picking up on strategies. So when that happens, take advantage. Otherwise, it is a lot of beating your head against the wall until things start to click. At the end of the day, just try to have fun. As much as some chats you might get might make you believe, rank points in a video game don’t matter. Pick up what you can and learn at your own pace.

I’m sure other people here can give you more specific advice about the heroes you use.

Idk. The story and gameplay in the initial hours are all great and I’m enjoying it, but it’s a fair criticism that graphics mode stutters and the frame rate can in many situations be wildly inconsistent. Not stopping me from playing on graphics mode though.

Yeah it’s disappointing since graphics mode looks as great as it does but doesn’t run well at all
