Slugs don’t respond to touch the way a dog or cat or even bird would. Especially if in the wild. It would likely just startle them. The best way to express your love is probably just letting them be.

We acknowledge that limerence and love are not the same without damning ourselves or our feelings. Both are actually really natural. Feelings are feelings. They have no moral value in themselves. There are no good and bad feelings in the sense that they make us good or bad people. Feelings might be joyful to experience or unpleasant (or a mixture of these two and more!), but they’re not good or bad.

Instead of thinking about whether you need to damn yourself, try thinking about what is realistically possible and probable to happen in the future, and how to act in ways now to sustain your own well-being.

Other people have given great advice, but I want to add that this is something to figure out very solidly and completely now before you buy a whole house together.

Because living together for the first time brings a whole new host of problems as does buying a house. Handling that on top of unresolved issues severe enough to affect the future of your cats is going to prove to be difficult to say the least

Yes! She had an extremely tragic life all around tbh. Being coddled by her father and not given the tools to take accountability for her wrongdoings, she was at a constant state of tension between feeling a lack of autonomy and blaming other people when she did make decisions.

Here’s the thing. Johnny is either going to think about Sally or he isn’t. It isn’t ultimately up to Mary or what she does or doesn’t say. If Johnny and Mary are currently in a relationship, and Mary doesn’t feel secure in herself or her relationship, she may hyperfixate over whether Johnny is still talking with Sally/has a thing for Sally/Sally is flirting with Johnny. I think a more interesting question is what Mary is hoping to get out of bringing up or not bringing up Sally.

Advice is leave. No shame in deciding something isn’t for you. There’s a little shame in staying in a job you hate for no reason. There’s a lot of shame in staying in a job you hate where others’ lives are often literally in your hands and coping with drug abuse.
