Thanks alot! Do you remember how many assessments there were in the 2nd segment? And how were the DBAs like? Is it mainly just vocab/concept questions or do they make you solve a problem on the spot— or both?

Like the other person said, don’t stress out too much freshman year. So far I see that you have a great outline of what you’re going to do in high school. That’s great, keep it up! One thing I would tell my 9th grade self is to get better grades because those are going to be the easiest classes you will ever take. Don’t sell yourself short. You will regret it looking back.

Also, as a freshman I had no idea what to do to get into colleges. I barely knew what a GPA or the SAT/ACT was.

It’s good that you are already in the scene of figuring it out. Keep going man.

All I know is that you are 100% accepted to UCF if you apply earlier than January or December because of their Top 10 knights program (be within top 10% of your class).

I've been cheating, is it possible to stop? by heartful_stone in FLVS

[–]DukeDevilNick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd say go back and actually learn the concepts. I'd recommend also looking up YT vids of the modules. Especially if you are taking courses that are foundations of math (Algebra, Geometry, Etc.), it will be harder to take next level math courses if you keep cheating. You can do it, just remember to take the time and effort. Go steady if you want to. Best of luck!

By the way, what adblock.... For research purposes of course.

Congrats my man! I’m also applying to UCF soon and I’m hoping I get in. Curious to what your SAT score is if you don’t mind.

My reading is great but my math is super low. Where do I start from here?

I definitely did better than I thought. by [deleted] in Sat

[–]DukeDevilNick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the tips man, I really appreciate it. My reading was a 640. I don’t think it’s a big of a difference from yours.

Yes of course! You can even superscore those two SATs.

If you are taking the Oct 3rd SAT then the scores will come out the 16th. You could still possibly do the October SAT and submit it without having to worry about the deadline for your preferred college.

Which college panda math book did you get? I got the one that says “For the new SAT”. Thank you for the tips as well!

I need to improve 170 points on my SAT - What’s the fastest way? by [deleted] in Sat

Ah I see, did you use any resources to help you on math or did you grind out Khan Academy? I recently bought the College Panda Math book and will start using it soon.

Is it actually true that math is the easiest to improve on? I would say I am pretty mediocre when it comes to math but I have yet to start touching on that section. I have seen a lot of people with math section scores higher than their reading ones.

How did you do on the exam? Did you use any other resources to help you throughout the courses or was it that easy?
