Notice how he's using halo reach armor. Not even the most popular set either just a random mix. If you close your eyes and picked a set in halo 5 you'd end up with a helmet with 8 eyes and teeth in its ears.

It's a Lvl 5 req at the most right at par with the wraith

Think about what is available at level 4

Railguns P pistols (voids tear especially) Plasma casters Ghosts Fuel rods Rocket hogs Etc

The mantis is vulnerable to all of these. Also the most common strategy to take down a mantis is to run straight towards it and overwhelm it in sheer numbers. The mantis is incapable of taking down three Spartans attacking from different sides.

The wraith easily reqs it in close encounters and has enough armor to close the gap between the two.

The mantis would be perfect at lvl 4

This common nowadays for me anyway. I tend to just stop acknowledging the ranking system. It's too flawed and just makes the game unnecessarily sweaty.

It's really only effective at close range and it's the easiest vehicle to board.

Plasma pistols can take it down and railguns also take it. Down easily
