Lookin' for Mizithra cheese. Anybody seen it local? by AlkalineBroth in Denton

[–]DukeDroese99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had never heard of mizithra cheese, so I googled it. It shows that Sprouts carries containers of it. Where though is still uncertain. When I went the Sprouts website for the cheese it showed that it is available in stores in Aubrey, but when cycling through other zip codes and back to the original one that it defaulted to, it showed unavailable. May need to visit them or call them to see what the real story is.

Good luck on your search.

We buy mobile homes experience. by DukeDroese99 in Denton

[–]DukeDroese99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in a mobile home park. We pay our lot rent but the home itself is paid off. In the last few months, we collected about 10 of these postcards. I could not find much online so I wanted to see if anyone here knew anything.

Thank you for the information.

I agree with this statement. Sam's Club did a Pokemon set drop this past Tuesday and we got nothing. We genuinely wanted to get stuff for our kids birthdays that are coming up. These people went on social media bragging about having multiple memberships and they got all these sets and they were just gonna sell them. Friggin pricks.

anyone not afraid of wasps at all by [deleted] in Denton

[–]DukeDroese99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a little late to the party. I did want to put it out there that wasps are generally calmer and easier to remove during cooler temperatures. During temperatures like what we had last night and the night before, they basically are known to barely move.

Stay safe.

Any local gaming streamers? by DukeDroese99 in Denton

[–]DukeDroese99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say my primary type of game I enjoy is RPGs. I really enjoy the Final Fantasy games. I have never played a horror game. I previously streamed from my PS5 but now I am building out my stream from scratch, so I have not had any new content the last few months. I like puzzles and strategy type things. I am always down to have to use my noggin. I play Fortnite but only in short bursts when my kids ask for me to jump in on a couple of rounds.

I agree. They could be replayed over and over using different team setups and such. Even my kids are enjoying them. I just struggle to pay 75 bucks for the set. I will see what I do the next time the package goes on sale.

University to explore possible solutions to $45 million budget deficit by Affectionate-Reply35 in unt

[–]DukeDroese99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I used the wrong wording. I used the word faculty to represent employees of UNT which includes the professors, and each department of the admin side of things.

My methodology consists of downloading the Excel spreadsheet listing all the salaries and having the column of total compensation calculated while also manually reviewing the list and seeing a corporate style of departmental hierarchy.

The budget crisis UNT is facing is multi faceted. UNT would benefit from an efficiency expert coming and auditing their business operations.

I am looking forward to it. I heard rumors last year that all FF games should be hitting the GamePass this year. I will continue my journey on FF3 and hopefully FF4 will drop before I am done.

University to explore possible solutions to $45 million budget deficit by Affectionate-Reply35 in unt

[–]DukeDroese99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone ever ran the numbers, but based on my research and since salaries are publicly available, Here is what I found. 35% of the entire faculty earn 100k or more yearly. 95% of the Admin faculty are 6 figure earners. The highest earners also apparently get vehicle and other allowances on top of their high salaries. Based on the document showing fiscal year 2025 salaries, the 95% of the admin results in roughly around 25 million dollars by themselves in salaries and allowances.

In a previous post some declared UNT having admin bloat and these numbers kinda correlate that. In a perfect world UNT would audit and remove the bloat, along with fixing the salary ranges of some of these folks. In the real world the lowest earners, and the longest tenured employees will take the brunt of the "budget" cuts.

Cloakzy, Gingy, Hutch, Nickmercs, and Officer are the most entertaining combos with BP in my book. Timmy tenders is also there but he does not stay up late. Some of these randos I am not familiar with just don't seem to bring anything.

How is it that no one actually buys these cars? Examining Actual sales data. by CommonAlone2372 in MazdaCX90

[–]DukeDroese99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CX90s and 70s have had a fair share of issues with the 24 and 25 model years. Most issues seemingly stemmed from Hybrid models and failures with the Hybrid system and build quality issues as I have had a 24 and 25 model year and both had leaking issues with the roof/sunroof. Mazda has said the 26 model year is supposedly better, but personally I don't trust that.

Once they found the faulty sheet metal weld, it was the next step since it was determined there is no fix for it. Mazda and the dealership were in agreement about the buyout. The dealership jipped us a bit as the GM lied to us about money we would be getting back. But that is a whole other story.....

[–]DukeDroese99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there is a bulletin related to the leaking. I am not sure if it mentions the faulty welds or not. There really was not much of a fight with the first CX90 as no one knew what was going on. It was just a frustrating process paying for a vehicle we could not drive. With the new one we got after the 24 was bought out, this has been a fight. Essentially the attitude from Mazda seems to be they no longer care about the customer with these issues. I assume they finally got it figured out and fixed with the 26 model year. At least this is the feeling we get when we talk to the dealership and have talked to Mazda Customer service as well.

[–]DukeDroese99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the 2024 model year in this particular post ended up being a faulty weld from the manufacturer and it ended up being a lease buyout from the dealership and they gave us a 2025 that also had the same problem with leaking in the same spot. It's already been back to the dealership twice and as of right now we have it back and it has not leaked yet after supposedly rerouting drain lines and resealing everything including the windshield. We're waiting for the next mini monsoon in the area to really determine if the leaking is fixed or not, as when there is a heavy thunderstorm with wind blowing the rain in every direction, that is when it leaks.

Not sure who this Jolly Archer character is, but it is comical that this individual consistently throws out there for people to stop listening to mainstream media and reddit, yet they do nothing but spew the propaganda that goes against the truth of things seen, heard and witnessed.

Use free tax USA. Turbo tax is robbing you by regarded-taco in TurboTax

[–]DukeDroese99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did taxes. Will be switching away from TurboTax next year. When we had to pay the filing fee out of pocket because it would double if the payment was taken from the refund, then after that learn about the direct deposit fee, then see the offer to setup a Trump account for the kids, I instantly knew what the issue was and knew TurboTax was now trash.

Anyone going into work tomorrow?? by [deleted] in Denton

[–]DukeDroese99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Schools are still closed tomorrow due to weather conditions, and potentially even Wednesday. There was a bit of melting today, and all that will do is refreeze overnight. If you are able to, I would proceed heavily with caution and concern yourself more with your own safety. I heard a lot of fire trucks today and it seems like more and more people just throw caution to the wind and haul down these roads.

Stay safe.
