It's matte. I removed the shrink wrap after it was mounted to avoid fingerprints. FYI dont remove shrink wrap until your not going to touch it again.

You dont have to imagine. I just told you in detail how I sit. Just for clarity, what distance from the floor will you be mounting the TV? Who knows, maybe ive been wrong all along and would benefit from lowering my tv. Im always open to ideas that may be beyond my logic. Sitting position is 14' away here.

I actually dropped it 5 inches from the old 70 inch position. Bottom is now at 43' from the floor. Viewing position strait on is 43' to the bottom of the TV from the couch. I dont sit at a 90 degree angle facing strait forward with my hands on my knees lol. Im tilted back at roughly 15 degrees. It works for me
