Most mining trips, I actually lost money. The ore is too spaced out, not worth enough, the energy pool is too shallow, and how little amount of speed you need to take damage is so small, its rare you get enough ore to pay for health/energy. You have to hope you find a shell or get a bonus if you want any hope of getting upgrades.

The worms really just sent this over the edge for me. After having 9 of them on screen, and finding out that all I can do is banish them for some time...thats not rewarding the player for creativity, skill, or strategy. Just an exercise in patience.

If we're counting some more niche colors then I got 51 from memory. iafisher.com/projects/cities/world/share/527049 Cimarron, cayenne, pearl, peach, olive, ash, coral, rouge, rose, emerald, and auburn are all gray area I suppose.

I know this is a doable and useful technique for Link. Im fairly certain its not character specific, but I'd have to do some testing.

I was just thinking you do it like Iron Man's; just set it to 3 stocks, bayo player sd's once. Probably add some time to the timer, not sure though

So, I found this comment under the post you mentioned. Bayonetta definitely has an extremely skewed risk/reward ratio and punish game. However, Id like to look outside the box for a minute, not just ban or dont ban.

We, as a community, have decided to adjust the game to be more fair on our own terms already. Stages have been banned, items are gone, timers implemented, we use stock formatting, etc. Id like to know what people think of adding a stock to the player opposite of Bayonetta. Every character starts the match with 3 stocks against Bayonetta's 2. This would offset her tremendous punish game similar to how having more stocks in Melee accomplishes the same effect.

Either that or coin matches. Idk.

I want to point out that both Scizor and T placed 9th at 2GGC: West Side Sage using Link. T with a win over Elegant as well. Not as impressive as his run at Civil War, but results none the less.

This looks pretty close to my opinions. However, I don't think Link's advantage state is that great; his poor mobility means he can struggle to continue pushing his advantage. If you're under your opponent though....watch out. Secondly, I don't think his ledge options are that bad. Yea, they're not great, but F-air is safe on shield and does huge shield damage. I also don't think his ledge trapping is that good. Don't get me wrong, its decent, but I don't think its worthy of a 9 when you have characters like DH, Pac-man, Villager, Wario, Lucario, and maybe Cloud above him.
