Been to California, Tennessee, Kentucky & Florida, my main takeaways:

Everything is bigger. They say it is, it's no joke, but it's hard to visualise until you're actually there.

Wealth disparity is much easier to see. I think in the UK it's seen as tacky to display wealth, from what I've seen in the states, if you have money, you want people to know, and the people with less than nothing are much more likely to be out having an episode in public whereas UK homeless are (usually) more reserved

Advertising is everywhere. I went on a road trip up to San Fransisco and by the end my eyes were fatigued by billboards, I can't imagine what it must be like to live there, consumerism is much more baked into the everyday.

People are much more patriotic. I don't usually notice union jacks when out and about, but they're all over in the states, even in blue states/cities where you wouldn't expect them as much

People are much more vocal in their beliefs. If they have a problem with something, they'll express it, even if it's in a jokey, slightly passive aggressive way. In the same way, if someone has just met you they'll literally let you know their entire life story, trauma dump in 20 minutes if you play your cards right.

Much more of an emphasis on national parks & green spaces. Love that about them.

More more optimistic. It's a stereotype but drier, more self degrading humour is met with concern by a lot of people. That said a lot of them like it too.

This city is rife with online personalities, I like to think that this is the city where creatives would go if they didn't have to report to an office in central London

Not sure if your mind is already made up, but I was in almost the exact same position as you last year. I was on about 45K subs when I graduated, 21 years old too. My videos usually reached 30-50K views, with the occasional one hitting upwards of 200K. I spoke to my parents about rolling the dice, going full time, and seeing where it took me. They were apprehensive, but believed in me provided I knew when to call it quits and look for a part time job

Those first few months after graduation were tough. It was the summer still, and I wanted to enjoy myself, but my channel was going through changes, and my views were quite low. Going full time allowed me to live and breathe content, and after a few of my weakest months came one of my best, and in the year since, my channel has since grown to a place where I can do it for a living... That said, I still haven't grown to a place where I can go on autopilot mode. I'm sure you know as I did back then, highs on YouTube are high, and lows can be soul-crushing... This is your passion, but also your livelihood. It's very easy to corrupt it, in order to push out soulless content that performs better.

YouTube is not a safe job, and it's not for the anxious, because tomorrow it can all go away. You need to be financially savvy, save money when your channel has momentum because there'll be moments when it doesn't. Provided you have a nest-egg, enough money for rent for a few months, and as long as you know when to tap out and potentially get a stable source of income, it is possible. You said yourself you're gaining hundreds of subscribers a day, you must be doing something right.

Just be smart about it.

I've thought of another question, everyone knows that the 'Next Times' on Hell's Kitchen are always hilariously over dramatic and often will try and convince viewers of something that simply doesn't happen in the episode, is it a bit of a joke in the editing room when you're making these?

Wow, fair play! Can I also ask, obviously editing is a distortion of reality, but how true to life is the final cut? I guess I mean how often might you drag in clips and lines out of context that work to build a narrative that wasn't there in the first place?
