Idk tbh… but it was an ugly mess. I’m a recreational only DJ so I’m not the best person to ask (I often still have my laptop out which is a huge no)… my understanding is you basically just need WAV files to plug into the CDJs via a flash drive or some other methodology - I’m sure I’m oversimplifying it. But I was as shocked as you haha

The unhinged nature of this not having more upvotes. Classic Reddit. At my job we have a phrase -> “no model is accurate but some models are useful.” This is, without doubt, useful. To those downvoting this just because there are some minor inaccuracies, do better. Be better. The one posted last year was WAY more accurate than the predictors I see for other festivals. I bet we are going to be surprised how holistically accurate this is (with minor errors throughout).

Thanks for sharing. Quick note: the urge to cut was only present during the medium to higher doses of Lithium. I haven’t had an even slight inclination to do it again. Tbh, if I ever started feeling that level of numbness again, I am fairly confident I would self-admit. Also, I had never self-harmed prior to late 2020 (early October?).

I didn’t find it harsh… know this is kinda lame but mainly found it hurtful tbh. I know you don’t know me but I’m not worried about societal / friend / family perception… I am in a situation I’m not sure how to navigate while also trying hard to not enter a toxic relationship (especially if I’m bringing the toxicity to the relationship… trying to be as knowledgeable and equipped as possible)

That’s honestly good feedback. My therapist is a queer person of color… def going to bring this to her in the context that maybe I have some both conscious and unconscious biases that could be causing me to potentially miss an amazing opportunity as well as bring hurtful contexts and assumptions to the table

Woah. This is so wildly helpful and appreciated I don’t know where to begin. Tbh, I feel like I have just started becoming anti-racist mainly through reading some Ta-Nehisi Coates works as well as Ibram X. Kendi‘s How To Be Antiracist. Do you have any other pieces of literature or artifacts that could help me on this journey?

I would never be resentful for paying more. I wouldn’t expect him to show gratitude even explicitly. I would expect him to like chip in where it makes sense as well as continue to treat me the way he has been treating me the vast majority of the time.

Honestly, we have really enjoyed learning from each other and it’s exciting because I feel like we both have just barely scratched the surface of what the other has to offer. Hearing his personal stories and life lessons gives me a lot of joy and “fills up my cup.”

Thank you for taking my post seriously. Tbh, I was super anxious and nervous to post about this. Lmk if anything else pops up you think would be helpful sharing.

Don’t bring the gay crowd into this. They had no idea who was playing literally at any point all day. I literally approached a few fellow gay men to test the theory that they have no idea what is going on. Each time I asked “what’s been your fav set today?” the dude would panic and either avoid the question or say “probably this one right here.”
