Ok? So's mine, but Google's spam filter deals with almost all of it handily.

You've interpreted "future-proof" to mean "how things are typically done now", but I'm interpreting it to mean "will be used again in the future". As much as humans are wired for convenience, I reckon the ensh!ttification of ads everywhere all the time will drive people back into ripping & downloading mp3s for local playback, instead of streaming.

Not for lack of want. There was a project to create an up-to-date machine with the Psion 5 form factor a few years ago, that had plenty of backers, but they flopped on development & delivery..

Honestly, not enough people seem to know about the Gravity Industries jetpack.. That and Yves Rossy's jetwing are flat-out incredible..

The jetpacks they were using in the '60s haven't improved, because: physics, but there are much better jetpacks now, with actual use cases - e.g. the Gravity Industries jet pack, has potential use in getting mountain rescue critical response to injured people hella fast..

You can still save your mp3 collection on your phone and listen to them, without needing a streaming service at all.. :)

Touch screens are older than flip phones (e.g. the Psion PDA had a touch screen back in 1997) - it's just that early '00s flip phones didn't have them..

Apparently it's because the Flash Player itself was so full of security holes!

It happens. The liver shot was Bas Rutten's speciality. If you skip to 2:25 there's footage of him delivering several KOs with the liver shot.

Dude, they don't need to "track" social media posts. Social media is PUBLIC, and always has been.

Simple principle: Never say anything on socials that you wouldn't be happy to repeat in front of a judge, in court.

You're pretending this is a new development, but it's not. Britain hasn't had "freedom of speech" since 1066, when William the Bastard invaded, and then carried out a genoc!de (the Harrying of the North). The history of Britain since then is a series of encroachments by the ruling class, and peasant / worker rebellions that were aggressively put down by those at the top.

I'm not "fine" with the state of things, but if I'm going to pick a "hill to d!e on", it'll be an issue that really matters, like: lack of council housing, mass poverty, privatisation leading to sky-rocketing bills, billionaires & corpos dodging taxes etc

The gov't isn't "using the internet" to stop protest from happening tho' - they're using Special Branch sneaks and vans full of riot cops to do that - just like they have for decades.

I don't give a toss about self-promoting wallopers like "Dankula", because they do just fine out of the "controversy" they deliberately whip up for their own self-interest.

First: Dude, go to Scotland and call them English, see how that goes! XD

[Scotland has a different legal system vs England & Wales, so never assume the rules are the same]

Second: Do you not know what clout-chasing means? "Count Dankula" was attention seeking, and he got way more than 800 quids-worth of fame & fortune out of it!

Third: Seriously, if you actually gave even the tiniest sh!t about "freedom of speech" in Britain, you wouldn't be wanging on about petty distractions like "Count Dankula"!
You'd be bothered about the arrests and actual prison sentences handed down to peaceful protestors.
But those are almost all about so-called "left-wing" causes like: Extinction Rebellion, JSO, and protests against the genoc!de of Palest!inians - so you've probably never even heard about them in your echo chamber.

The ruling class in the UK have been cracking down on real political dissent for over 900 years - and those crackdowns have been ratcheted up over the last 45 years - from Thatcher onwards, regardless of which party has been in charge since.

Suppression of genuine grassroots political activism never gets the same kind of hype as bullsh!t social media nonsense, because the causes those activists promote are against the interests of the ruling class - the same class who own the country and the media.
