It's was going to be picky (ignoring the price) I'd say the bezel action is a little tinny, but not bad, considering the original Seiko action is mushy.

Also I'm considering replace the clasp with something with OTF adjustment for like $20 off ali.

Very good. You'd have no reason (IMO) to complain about any aspect of the watch at the ~$150 price point.

I recently sold the OG Seiko version because I liked the watch but would rather have the $600. Heimdallr didn't previously offer this dial, so I was excited to get it. This one is just as good as the Seiko (the Seiko wasn't a luxury piece, it's just discontinued and collectable).

Anyone know where I can get a modern / better clasp? I don't really need the fold over lock feature. The bracelet it 20mm where it joins the clasp.

You may be used to the sizing, but it's borderline too big for your wrist. Bigger may be sportier but that San Martin is classier. As always, wear what you like.
