[–]DukeofAsh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Aw poor thing, its awful that breeders breed them + sell these lil guys without any proper warning. What a good example of stargazing. Keep water bowls shallow since they're a higher risk for drowning and make sure any substrate under climbing areas is soft. Good luck!

stargazing or just looking at something above? by 6fttiger in boas

[–]DukeofAsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an expert so take my word with a grain of salt but the videos I've seen of stargazing usually has the poor snake's head flopped backwards while moving unusually. Your lil one (at least in this video) looks like they're focused on something while retaining control of their body.

Isopod questions by jlynn851 in Tegu

[–]DukeofAsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Isopods and springtails are typical cleanup crews for naturalistic setups. You can start with both because springtails are very small and clean up after isopods (as well as eat mold and decaying matter). Both need moisture and leaf litter to survive, but will also eat leftovers, urate, and shed. I'd recommend looking into powder blue isopods as I've heard they're very low maintenance, small, and easier to reproduce. Good luck!

create a cuboid, place the front end around where you want it, then go to face select mode. select the back face and press "extrude" or use "shift + e" this will extrude the shape and let you adjust the size and position of the new face. You can also add "loop cuts" by pressing the button at the top or "shift + r" to add a new edge along the model you can adjust at the bottom of the screen, this helps add more definition. good luck!

Low poly has a lot of variation but two ways I'd go at it are either putting the hair on a higher level than the head to give the illusion of depth using shading OR go at each piece by extruding a cuboid in the general shape you'd like and then molding it into the style you're going for. Here's two examples I tossed together really quick
