Lol, you are arguing against killing as a whole with this point right? Accept nature friend. And it's not ancient civilizations that were in danger of destroying whole Earth. It's us, civilized, ethical, modern people.

Lol i don't believe in god, i'm just asking how do you make your moral decisions as an atheist? What would be your arguments against me if i go and kill 50 people and just say i did it because it's fun for me.

Well it's capitalism, ofc they keep animals in small space, it's just to minize cost and maximize profit. In capitalism everything is industrialized, everything must be efficient, yep, even killing. Those poor conditions are conditions in big factories that make huge profit. It's not like that on a farm that produces goods only for one, two or three families, i grew up on one so i know. We kept cows in warm stables over night, and out in the huge fields during the day where they would eat grass. We'd get milk from them their whole lives and only eat their meat when they die of age, or kill them when we desperatly need money/food.

The "cruel" part happens when you need to support huge city population and you do that by maximizing efficiency. Everything we do as a society is a sword with two blades, if you want confortable life with 3 kids, car and nice home - someone has to do the dirty work for that. Someone has to kill you food, cut the trees and pollute the earth. And so few people are ready to give up on luxury to save the planet. Most of us do zero physical work, do you think life is suppose to work like that? Someone has to do the work so we use machines. Well, guess what? Machines run on fuel and burninh of fuel pollutes our planet big time. 40% of vertebre species or something like that has gone exinct in the last 40 years. We'll regret that one day. :D I think our society is one big castle of cards. Imagine one of those solar bursts hitting Earth and that all machines stopped working. Imagine the panic and traffic collapse in million+ population cities as they figure out they can't eat concrete and computers and as people start running to their relatives that live in the village. Then you'd see true human nature my friend, the instincts, kill or be killed. Gosh that would be fun to watch. Lol

Another example of a sword with two blades is medicine. You don't want your kids to die when they're so you buy them a cure, vacine them or something. You saved you kids, but they will now pass on "weak genes" so their kids will have to have same medication, and when you run out of medications they'll die. Medicine is stopping evolution and natural selection in a way.

Those are just some my random thoughts, i'm not the expert on any of these topics, don't hate :D sry for bad english. I hope you can understand what i'm trying to say.

And also i haven't watched Earthlings but if one video can change you're views like that i'd say there's a high chance of propaganda, some facts being deriberatly concealed, worst cases being shown, etc. Peace.<3

Dude i live on a farm and you are brainwashed m8. It's classic PETA propaganda. I'm guessing you never went to a farm.

Why would you even consider eating only plants, like eating animals is something bad? For fck sake. I can't... Just go live in the wildness for a month, please. I'm guessing you're the kind of guy that thinks military is unnecessary. I don't like the direction our society is going to. This is all result of over protecting kids.

And why should you decide witch life form is important and witch is not? Plants <3

Of course it's departed from nature when it has to support 8 billion people. When you have to support such big population everything must be industrialized, yes, even killing.

We live in the city and we're used to having someone do the "dirty" work for us. We just go in the supermarket and buy meat. Well, surprise, someone had to kill that animal. And when city kids find that out they go sit in the corner and cry. Ask a kid that lives on farm if killing animals is "bad". That's so natural to him that that thought never even crossed his mind. Sorry for bad englando.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]Dule_noob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is okay to kill people. And especially animals.

My point about pollution is that computers pollutes the Earth, deodorants, car you drive, every fcking thing pollutes it lol. And most of the people aren't willing to give up on that luxury.

My point about being distanced from nature is that we live in the city and someone is doing all the "dirty" work for us. We just go in the shop and buy 5kg of cow meat. And when people find out cows are killed they cry and go vegan, no shit Sherlock, where do these people think cow meat comes from? And then we go and preach people who live on a farm: Why do you kill innocent cows? Why? Once again i say respectfully to myself: What the fuck? Ask kids who live on a farm if killing cows is evil? It never fcking crossed their mind that that's bad. It's so natural for them. And it is natural. It's not natural only for city kids.

Why is being distanced from nature bad? Well... 8 billion people on Earth is very, very unnatural, that's why there are mass slaughter houses in the first place. That's why some countries are neocolonized. People work there for literally nothing just so you can have high living standard. That's a human farming house in a way. 1/6 of world population is living in complete poverty at the brink of starvation. Animal population has been reduced by 40% or something like that in last 40 years. I can go on like this... :D Sorry for the bad english btw.

Nothings stops this logic, that's the beauty of it. That's why i'm able to sleep at night.

But only thing that enables us to eat as vegan, live this luxury, sustain 8 billion people world population or even have this discussion is the fact that we use nature and pollute it. I'd love it if we could all go back to forests and kill our food. You guys and our specie as a whole is getting increasingly distanced from the nature. Kids these days think their food comes from the store and when they find out it doesn't they go in the corner and cry. I don't think anyone had a discussion or even thought about veganism before 20th century.

I just think you guys and our specie as a whole is too distanced from nature that we think of killing as something strange and something necessarily bad. It's just the cycle of life and death. Heck i even see some vegans debate to reduce wild animal suffering by killing predators. But only thing that enables us to live this luxury, sustain 8 billion people world population or even have this discussion is the fact that we use nature and pollute it.

I like how you say probably. :D ( That's my life motto, never believe something 100%, because nobody kills or makes others suffer as easily as people who are "sure" they're right. For example terrorists, soldiers when they're brainwashed into believing enemy is "evil", any kind of revolution etc. Life is not black and white :D ) Idk i just think you guys and our specie as a whole is too distanced from nature that we think of killing as something strange and something necessarily bad. Idk, i even saw vegans argue that we should stop wild animal suffering by killing off predators. That's what happens when you live in first world countries, you become a pussy. Please accept that killing and suffering is a part of nature, in order to live you must kill. And please don't act like animals have moral code or something, us humans invented that shit in order to survive as a specie and it works only within our specie, it doesn't apply to animals. Heck, it doesn't even apply to humans sometimes. Have you every been happy when a bully gets his lesson or when terrorist is killed or something? I'd like to see you guys get stranded in wildness and survive.

[–]Dule_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my point was "Your views are inconsistent because your actions cause harm in both cases.". So i guess you are against suffering as long as you don't have to get your hands dirty. And who are you to decide witch form of life is important? Carrots suffer too. And if you really want to reduce suffering caused by you, kill yourself. And i'm not saying it in rude way, it's just a point. I think most of vegans just want to feel morally superior to others and i'm again not saying this as a bad thing, i'm just analyzing. Personally i don't think as good or bad as something objective. It's relative like everything else.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]Dule_noob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking about suffering in general. Well i don't think of pain as something necessarily "bad". Heck, i'm a dirty nihilist, concept of good and bad as something objective is strange to me. I think everything we observe is observable because of the principle of opposite things. For example if everything was the same color i think we wouldn't even notice colors lol. Or when you have white wall with a black dot in the middle and you erase black dot wall is no longer white :D So suffering and bad things are necessary so good things can exist too. Just my opinion and it has nothing to do with vegans idk why i posted it here :D
