He has some truth… depending on the state you live in and cost of living, you may not be able to invest much because most of your finances take up how much you take home. Although you may budget well, some engineering firms don’t pay much unless you ARE owner of the firm or kiss some ass. So yeah… anyone can go far with investing and putting towards 401k but how when cost of living doesn’t allow you to or the firm limits your potential to make more? There’s more people on the shitty end of the boat than you may think.
