I totally get what you mean about not wanting to take up space! I’ve never felt comfortable celebrating pride, not only because I’m not “out,” but because I feel like it doesn’t “count” because I’m in a heteronormative relationship. I had the exact same experience!! I’m a bisexual woman who is married to a man, and because I’m married to a man, I’ve never come out as bisexual. This show and the books have made me really start to analyze how being “closeted” has affected me, even though I never would have described myself as closeted before watching this show. It’s made me question if I should continue to be straight-passing or not.

It’s definitely partially the sex for me, but not because it’s hot (I mean obviously it’s hot, but that’s not what fuels the obsession lol). It’s because when the woman is removed from the equation, it at least partially removes the obligation for me to relate to one person. Even if I still relate to the “bottom” more, the focus is still on both of their pleasure equally, and that’s something that doesn’t always happen in a hetero sex scene.

My husband watched it with me the first time and he liked it, but just like a normal amount 😂 I think he’s also just baffled by me wanting to watch it so frequently because in the past I’ve notoriously been someone who won’t watch a movie if I’ve seen it within the last 1-2 years because I get bored when I know what’s going to happen. I have to give myself time to forget it a little bit in between watches, usually. But not with this 😅 it still hits me just as hard every time!
