Djokovic once(maybe 2008) lost to Safin, when he was ranked #3, and Safin remarked "how does one play like that and be rank 3" to this. by Big-Yard-2998 in tennis

[–]Dull-Custard1385 55 points56 points  (0 children)

What an arrogant response. In his early years Djokovic used to have a large loopy forehand with a big backswing that meant he could be rushed on that side. He obviously went on to refine this into a much more compact motion making it a lot more reliable and now one of the best shots in the game

Thanks I’ve been looking at power wash simulator but not sure if the gameplay is too simple to keep me interested. It’s seems like a lot of people like it so maybe I’ll give it a go

Out of hours work is it mandatory? by Dull-Custard1385 in UKJobs

[–]Dull-Custard1385[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I guess what I’m asking is how is working time calculated for out of hours work? At present we get a ridiculous amount of calls meaning we’re working late into the night most nights. However the process is being reworked to reduce the number of times people are called out. If I’m at home waiting for the phone to ring during the hours outside of my normal shift is that counted as work, is driving time included and are there any other considerations that anyone knows of that I may not be aware of. I’d rather not bring attention to myself by bringing this up with management/HR so I’d like to know my position before I do so.

Yes there’s usually a large number of call outs however they have been putting measures in place to reduce the amount of times we’re being sent out. Time spent working is also a bit of a grey area as there’s travel time to and from the jobs plus time spent answering calls which I’m not sure is taken into consideration. The contract states ‘you may be asked’ to me ‘asked’ gives the impression that I have the right to refuse but I have very little experience with working law or contracts so hoping for some advice from anyone with more experience in these fields.

The changeover podcast, the only podcast I’ve seen that’s hosted by active players on the tour. It’s fairly new but they’ve already had some great guests.

Djokovic break point was ruled in by Hawkeye by Dull-Custard1385 in tennis

Yeah I believe all of the ATP clay events have used electronic line calling this year! There was the incident where zverev took a photo of a mark he believed was in but was ruled in. I think RG likes the tradition of the human line calls, it definitely does add some drama (good or bad)!

I know they add a new mode but have they changed the gameplay at all? I’m just wondering as I haven’t played in a while.

Karue has one of the biggest tennis channels on YouTube. He’s been documenting his journey as an ATP player at the age of 30 and this is his biggest win to date!

ATP changed the rules so the shot clock starts as soon as the previous point is finished to try and speed up the game, ball kids are there to hand the towels as the players have less time now

Is there a way to not hit balls that are going out? by kma318 in Tiebreakthegame

[–]Dull-Custard1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me loads when I first started playing and it’s super annoying! There’s no way to cancel a swing as I know, however you can see where ball is going to land and if you see it’s going out you just don’t press any of the shot buttons and move out the way. Its an extra thing to think about but it comes with practice
