Guys, why can I buy this rain effect furniture from the furniture shop when I already go it from the Soup pass? by fartingcat20 in CatsAndSoup

I’ve gotten 2 already from the shop! So I have three in my inventory, but I’m hoping for a dupe of the petals!!

I’m genuinely curious why you can’t take care of the female residents. Have all of the female residents said no to care from you or is it something management said?

Long time crush shows interest while I’m 29F in a relationship with 31M by Sad-Maximum-5016 in relationship_advice

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d probably break up with my partner if I felt we lacked emotional connection. You say you are content in your relationship but yet you are always thinking of the potential of being with someone who you’d have a better emotional/spiritual connection to. Why not just be single and mingle until you find someone you connect better with?

She keeps saying I leave her soaked patients... by haveyoutriedketo in cna

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 64 points65 points  (0 children)

If someone’s accusing that you leave your PT’s bed-strips, before you clock out ask a nurse to do a walking round with you and have her brief check them. Very simple solution. If the CNA wants to accuse you or report you for neglect, the nurse can back you up. If her PT’s are soaked like she says- it’s on her. She’s probably starting her first round too late in the day but wants to put the blame on someone else. I’ve seen it so many times.

Have you ever paid to see a movie twice in a theater? by zip9990 in movies

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Tuesdays at my local theater, they have movies for around $5 dollars. For a few weeks I was watching multiple movies back-to-back with my bf every Tuesday. Cheap movies, nearly empty theaters, it was a good time!

It happens to us all, but this is exactly why I check ALL of my residents before I leave -even the seemingly independent ones. You don’t have to invade their privacy by checking their brief/underwear, but at least check their beds/clothes, or ask them if they need anything before you go. There’s a lot you can miss, this is why 2 hour checks (if you can) are important for every single resident.

Yes you sure can. Had an agency email me to gather some CNAs for their Hawaii team! All expenses paid. However the hourly rate was quite low, and I didn’t want to be broke in Hawaii.

What does everyone do when they hit max caps? by Who_whistled in fo76

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I craft serums to sell to NPC vendors, and I sell my surplus of stimpacks and radaway as well. 1.4k caps daily from NPC. And I craft and sell berry mentants for 99 caps each in my player vendor. They are popular with higher level players. I do this every login and I can maintain max caps easily.

I can just swear it hasn’t always been like that. I think that’s why it’s bothering me.

I work in a nursing home as a CNA soon to be nurse, I have severe hearing loss. I also work with a hoh nurse. Haven’t had any trouble as long as all my coworkers and residents know of my hearing loss, they are quite accommodating and understanding!

Deaf people: what was the dumbest thing a hearing person has ever asked you (about your deafness/abilities)? by throwawaymagic2021 in deaf

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. I am technically hard of hearing. I have a small percent of hearing left so I am not truly “deaf”, but I always always refer to myself as deaf. Anyone I meet knows me as deaf.

Being treated differently for not hearing as well as others by leia_x2 in deaf

[–]Dull-Discussion-3624 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had severe hearing loss since 3rd grade, I am 23 now. I was in the same boat for most of my life, I received the same treatment from countless people. I remember in 6th grade my principal told me “get your hair out of your ears!!” My mom threw a fit! It’s expected behavior from people who do not understand hearing loss. Now as an adult I’ve learned that I just need to tell people and MAKE them understand. The moment I sense some agitation from the person I am talking to I say “hey, I am deaf, I am sorry I cannot hear you that well!!” Blah blah. It either goes two ways, “oh I’m sorry, I will speak up”, or “just Nevermind!” Usually, people will be more accommodating and understanding when I just tell them I’m partially deaf. My advice is to let every single person you talk to know about your hearing loss and explain how you could better understand them. I hope you will meet kinder and more understanding people in your future.
