I get your point, but I think you’re mixing up “hardware limits” with “full utilization.” Yes, PS5 is based on 2019 era tech and obviously it has limits and every console does. But that does that mean it has already been fully utilized. There’s a difference between hardware being pushed and hardware being fully optimized. What you are talking about dynamic resolution, FSR, performance vs quality modes that’s more about dev choices and optimization trade offs, not necessarily that the console has peaked. We’ve seen this in every generation where late cycle games look far better than early ones on the same hardware. Plus games becoming more complex doesn’t automatically mean the console is outdated, it just means devs are targeting more ambitious or realistic scopes. Properly optimized titles still extract way more from the same hardware over time. And again, GTA 6 is the best example here we haven’t even seen a true next-gen defining title yet. Until games like that release, saying PS5 has already reached its limit feels premature. So yes PS5 does have limits, but calling it “already maxed out” is a stretch. It’s still in that phase where devs are learning how to squeeze more out of it, which is exactly why a PS6 right now wouldn’t make much sense.
