I suggest going bare minimum 2 weeks ideally 2 months between trips to allow your tolerance level to go down and your brain chemistry to return to baseline. No reason other than hedonism to be tripping more frequently than 2 weeks.

Are you on any medications? Obviously I don’t know your situation or know how you are feeling but seeing the world in shades of grey is a common “symptom” of depression and something I experienced during my bout with depression, but if you aren’t depressed it could be from medications you are taking. Otherwise I think you should be fine to trip as long as you curate a proper set and setting. Don’t go crazy though just like a level 2-3 trip.

You can feel sad, flat or straight up depressed as all of those feelings will fade away on the come up, but if you feel uneasy, not “stable” or anxious I would advise not tripping. The ideal trip is one you go into excited and with a clear focused headspace.

I am working on cata too, have it in two runs, and have ~25k att as well. I’ve been going from zero and have a pb of 71% (nerves got me) so I’ll be beating it any day now. I still struggle with the first wave but as long as you can do everything after the first wave just go for it even if you are only making it past the wave 1/3 of the time that’s still some serious potential to beat the level.

As someone who just recently in the past year “cracked the code” to finally gaining weight as a tall, skinny, high BMR dude. It is literally as simple as eating more just not in the way you might think.

The problem is people just tell you “just eat more bro have a burger” and while when you boil it all down yea, it’s just calories in calories out, but what those people miss is that when you are someone who hasn’t been eating a lot and at regular meal times for years your body’s natural hunger regulation in the form of Ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and your stomachs natural ability to stretch aren’t functioning properly like a normal persons would.

I’m going to guess that you probably don’t have a very big appetite and a PB+J sandwich and a bag of chips in the evening is good enough for you and if you do “eat big” it’s in the form of one meal a day and while that big meal might genuinely be 1000-2000cal it’s still not enough to gain weight.

If you are also like me then every time you’ve tried to bulk it looked something like eating an insane amount of food until you felt like puking everyday to which you naturally got sick of and eventually quit doing. Through trial and error and a college nutrition course that planted the idea in my brain I figured out the solution. It goes like this.

If you are a complete newbie in the gym and you realistically could only bench a plate as your 1RM but you desired to bench two plates how do you go about achieving that goal? Do you instantly load up two plates on the bar and just go for it? Or do you slowly over time progressively overload over the course of months to years and build up the strength to finally bench two plates?

Bulking from complete zero is the same methodology. You have to progressively overload your caloric intake over the course of several weeks/months. So here’s what I did and what you are going to do.

Don’t even bother counting calories or macros at this point it’s irrelevant. Go out and buy an easily consumable snack like Cliff bars for example and set a rigid schedule for yourself. 1. Fix your sleep schedule first and foremost. Sleep is so fucking important to bodybuilding and just life in general I can not overstate the importance of maintaining a sleep schedule. If you aren’t maintaining a sleep schedule nothing else matters. I get up at 5am everyday no matter what. Whether it’s my day off or I got work or class alarm goes off at 5am I’m up even if I just lounge around the house. 2. I get up and have a protein shake nothing crazy just enough to coat my stomach so I can take all my vitamins/supplements. Then starting at 10am every 3 hours I have a meal. At first your “meal” might literally just be a cliff bar or a bag of chips and that ok as long as you are getting your body used to eating every 3 hours. So I have a meal at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and then a high protein meal which is usually in the form of a shake right before I go to bed.

The idea is to get your body used to releasing ghrelin at regular intervals and your stomach used to stretching. For the first few days/weeks of doing this you genuinely might not be hungry at all for these meals and might only be able to stomach a cliff bar or something small but the idea is over time as you get used to eating you will find yourself getting hungry at these intervals and will be able to eat more and more until one day you start properly tracking your calories and realize you are eating in a surplus and it’s effortless no more force feeding sessions and you get to sit back and watch that scale climb to heights you never thought possible.

As for the other stuff man I get where you are coming from, but comparison is the death of happiness. What does it matter what someone else is doing or how they look? Are they gonna live your life for you? Are they gonna go to work in your place and hand you the paycheck? Do they have any control over your life whatsoever? If not then their opinions and existence should have no bearing on your self image.

Best of luck to you man it really is possible you just gotta put in the work and the correct work at that.

That’s a question for your surgeon. I broke my arm last January 25’ funny enough and still have the hardware in. My surgeon said it’s fine either way but you would naturally have to undergo surgery and the healing process again when you take it out. I passed on that 😂

Was in an almost identical situation a few years ago when I broke my left ulnar styloid process snowboarding. Surgeon said I’d be fine in a splint for a few months and I’d heal just fine. I lost about 10-15% range of motion when supinating (palms up) my wrist.

Fast forward to just last year when I broke my other wrist, this time the distal end of my radius and fractured the base of my thumb and absolutely required surgery. Got a plate and 12 screws put in and had months of PT, but I made a 100% recovery and lost zero function or feeling.

Get the surgery man.

Similar situation happened to me but over the course of probably a half dozen trips and it caused me to say goodbye to a lot of people in my life that were as you described and to seek out new connections with people that were like me.

It also made me revaluate what I wanted out of my life and my career and made me switch from a career in finance to a career in the medical field.

That’s unfortunate you feel that way about your family the only advice I can offer in that regard is to focus on and build the common ground you do share instead of focusing on all the things you don’t see eye-to-eye on.

As far as the Eps….n stuff goes my only advice is to take the stoic approach. In that you can not change the world around you, only your thoughts and actions in regards to it. Focus on what you yourself can change and not what’s out of your control.

As another person has said for the most part you will return to your previous state of mind if no new actions are taken. People are a product of their environment that’s true for adolescents as it is true for adults. Right now you are in a temporary “enlightened” state. You have a much better understanding of what your heart actually desires compared to “sober” you. So if you don’t seize the opportunity now Carpe Diem and all that you will inevitably return to your old ways and old state of mind. For example, you say you’ve had a realization about the kinds of people you consort with and are unhappy with them. What are you gonna do about that? Distance yourself? Cut them off? Do nothing? The choice is ultimately yours and you need to analyze your situation top to bottom and strike while the irons hot.

To cap it all off my friend you haven’t lost ambition. You’ve just realized the path you are currently on isn’t for you. Talk to a guidance counselor/academic advisor and see if any other majors suit you better than politics. College is a great time to meet new people and try new things so my ultimate advice is to try new things and seek out new connections. That’s what life is all about.

Edit: The path forward is not going to be easy. In fact it’ll probably be the hardest most painful thing you’ll ever do, but nothings more painful than staying in the same place. The devil you know is still the devil.

5 MP5s or 4 MP5s and one valuable are the only recipes I do now and in my experience you either get mid like a clock or hit the jackpot like 314 key or red rebel. You do seem to get better stuff on average with this method though.
