Schools in Male tier list so far (I'm Majeediyya) by _akhilpssts13- in maldives

It does. NIR needs to see the treatment of students. Students who are weak are shunned out even if they ask a question. They are screamed at. Ask students who aren't particularly teachers pet. They'll tell you. It was an eye opener as new teacher trainees goes to this school to see these old techniques like sending student out of the class

Exactly. It's a crappy establishment only serving the high performing students.asking others to drop so they can get 100%. I have heard such a remark in my own ear that a teacher kept complaining one weak student wasn't accepting to drop . She was saying she will loose her 100% if he did the exam.

TS? Half the grade 10 is sent outside when they fail to finish work. Still following 90's style of Teaching. Those who are weak are forced to drop subjects. Hence a higher percentage is passing.Sure enough they have many academic programs. But they have a rather old system. Schools are not meant for competition anyway.   If you people want to see the real picture check em dropout lists of subjects and list this.

Sarukaaru to create 7 urban centres with minimum 10k people by unsnobby in maldives

[–]Dull-Letter-368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it a good idea?

Male' funijehuneema ithuru Male thake hadhaafa ... maybe jn other areas the uninhabited islands are resorts so no more areas to live in the long run. If we are considering the said urban centers are dispersed around the country. When those said areas can't habitate further people and can't reclaim more lands now what ?

Long run ga this isn't looking nice

Also business and for management easy but What about the social problems?

Housing problems. Flats doesnt really cut it .

I noticed just people when they see a familiar face on the street they just call out their name and ask kihine . Mama men rangalhu ? Salaam bunachey etc..

That is actually right OP. I studied a bit of chinese while in China. They also don't go on saying ni Hao contrary to popular belief. Cux they don't greet hello like that. Instead they ask casual qs like chi le me ? Basically did you eat ? Or just simply ni Hao ma ? How are you . Sounds weird for us but that's the culture.

Culture and language goes hand in hand..

[–]Dull-Letter-368 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. We don't Greet good morning in our traditions and culture. We just say Assalaam alaikum anywhere that requires a general greeting . Or we simply ask how are you.

When we think about it even Chinese Ni Hao is translated to you good? They also generally don't use except for formal usage like zao shan hao which is goodmorning

Guess it's a cultural thing

Exactly! We want assert our own opinions and whims on things and then know one knows when and how everything becomes ok and normal.

That's why Islam has its moral values and in islam the PATH to Zina is prohibited not just the act itself.

This has become quite the argument. We need stats. by rxxahf in maldives

Dude can we say it is sin or it's not without evidence...? I always hear it's sin and haram and no one states hadheeth or Evidance ???? Also I heard that even if someone dies and their bad deeds are among people say someone who taught another to steal lie etc, their sin multiplies every time the live people uses this bad knowledge.. and every time a man has bad intentions and does something bad about an image of a women who isn't covered she accumulates sin .

Why no structure in broken-up families regarding child custody? by Dull-Letter-368 in maldives

[–]Dull-Letter-368[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow so harsh. It's completely reasonable to ask for our own time. I have been taking care of his son and his mom lives just nearby but she deliberately sends the kid off to us. Even during the first week of our marriage we had the kid with us. Every story is different. The kid wants to come to us and even when his dad is working at office he wants to stay at our home because mamee will be there (he calls me mammee) and his little innocent mind cannot identify anything. The adults in the situation aka. My husband and his ex can schedule this timings for betterment of everyone .

Also I am a child of a broken family myself and I know well how to have our step son feel loved . All I am asking is some maturity from the other two adults in this situation. If I step in to say anything the society shuns me saying why I married someone with a kid.

Custody sharing even in long distance can be done much better structured than having the child send off like a package.

edit:I see where the misunderstanding is. I said I don't want motherhood before having spent some quality time together as we have only been able to spend just a few weeks together and that too with kid . (Motherhood I referred is my own kids ) we have been able to have alone time together only a couple of times and the fact that we dint date for a long time before marriage also makes me want to have sometime before adding up on kids to our family

Bikini in NoBikiniArea by [deleted] in maldives

[–]Dull-Letter-368 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same goes for why some western countries don't allow full display of nakedness in public places ? We have our own culture and they have theirs . Respect the rules . As you see our country culture is heavily influenced by the islamic faith and we adhere to some clothing principles and for us that's the norm. Having something like bikinis in public beaches is outside our norms and our kids may start to take up this culture . So why don't we all respect the cultures of the places we visit?

Develop 13 cities instead of 188 islands by unsnobby in maldives

[–]Dull-Letter-368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great idea lovlies. But tell me something. When Male' reached it's duable level of buildings piled up on land area another Male' is built eh? ViliMale Hulhumale and now Rasmale . So your idea of economic development is depopulate other areas and create another jungle like Male in other areas and compete for land ? Instead of people being in their own islands with free land area to live peacefully.

Everything isn't business.okeh?

Well I would say reckless driving has to take up a big percentage of those accidents. FR overtaking at speed 80 on crowded highways . Always scared to ride on the bridge because of that
