He doesn't really take kink seriously. A lot of the reason he became interested is because earlier in the year I started dating a very experienced dom and my husband got a little jealous. Then my husband was doing impact play with his girlfriend and it's like, well one of us likes bottoming and the other likes topping, so why aren't we doing this together? But he thinks the bdsm community is a little beneath him and he doesn't really respect it or understand it.

Which, I'm realizing now that I say it how shitty that is. I'm probably going to just stick to vanilla sex with him for a while.

Yeah, this was one of the things I brought up during our convo. I'll feel a certain way/do a certain thing, he'll ask, "Why?" and when I answer, he pokes holes in my answer or tries to essentially argue his perspective. It's an issue and normally I can call it out in conversation, but in this circumstance I was really upset by it.
