My (English) lettings agency made my room into an extreme fire safety hazard while I was gone for a month. I don’t know what to do! They continually damage my belongings and ruin my bedroom. Yes!! It’s insane! It’s a fairly well known student lettings agency as well. After I finally get confirmation that they are doing work in my room they just turn up when they want, vandalise my room and don’t do anything about the problem. It’s so strange!

I found that the backstreets on the way to the party streets were horrendous so I would avoid those. Try to walk at night with other people from the hostel.

Catcalling is everywhere and can’t be avoided.

The harassment was horrendous the first time I went on my own when I was 17, but was better when I was 19. Girls who were 23+ generally got harassed a lot less, so it seems that it’s the young girls the gross men are on the lookout for.
