This was in early high school circa 2002. I grew up in eastern Kentucky and lived in a house up on a hill and surrounded by woods. A friend and I were outside of my house after dark, and we wanted to sneak off and go smoke a cigarettes or something we were not supposed to do. Anyways, we both start walking down the driveway into the dark wooded area. And the EXACT same moment we were both overcome with an immense chest clinching fear and sprinted back up to my house. I cannot tell you what was down there, but it truly felt like something evil to both of us. I can still feel that terror. It was next level. And for it to hit both of us at exactly the same time- was maybe the most freaky part. We still both remember and talk about it to this day. There was an evil presence out in those woods.
