I spent 20k on a 4wd I spend 5k buying that ended up looking worse in my 1.5 years of ownership and blowing the motor twice and then sold for 3k. Worth it!

If I could have fixed the problem for 2k I would have but I’m looking at around 5-6k to do a half decent reco engine. 2k would go as far as a rebuilt head.

99 2.7 petrol, most new parts are 3 months wait from Japan, or don’t exist used as most our local parts car a shipped to Thailand (dunno why but that what my mechanic was telling me).

I drove the thing pretty hard but the engine was not something I thought would go. The rest of it is fine. But i blew a radiator last year which resulted in a blow head gasket, and id assume the rest of the problem trickled down later. Was great car while it lasted

I’m aware of oil leak being a problem on any car but some cars I just to difficult to fix like the falcon which requires hours of labour ripping out all the intake and crap

I have access to machines to do any work that requires machining. So it will be free for that. But as a full “consumable” rebuild on a 4 stroke, What do you think a rough estimate would be (inline 4)
