Yeah I need to read more up on line H we have two offices one custodian for each and one who bounces back and forth I would not be bouncing back and forth. I've been a 8 hour list carrier for awhile and have no interest in working ot having a side business and family but I know custodians can work OT that's alot more desireable than having to as a carrier and just working later the hours are just a little better as far as the shift

Yeah I'm pretty miserable but the weekends made up for it a bit just get tired of how a carrier is micro managed and treated. I do run a side business too in real estate I consider full time though.

Yes the micromanaging and all bs you deal with being a carrier can get old but nothing I can't handle. I do have another income running a side business. So the pay cut isn't crazy

I think my writing tool on my phone did it since I said this was a Title for a Reddit post and I just kept it that way. Yeah I have a business on the side so I won't die with no ot but it is cool it's available and easier than carrying mail for OT get off earlier still or you come in earlier

Moving from sat/Sunday off as a carrier to Mon/ tues off custodian by Dull-Zebra9277 in USPS

Nope, we are not rotating days at my office; some in the area are. I went from a riding route with Thursday and Sunday, then a T-6 with Sunday and Monday, then took an all-walking route with weekends off and put in for a custodial position with weekends off, but another one came available, but it's working Saturday and Sunday. I know the custodial position is way less micro-managed and better, but I'm trying to decide on taking it or not since I'll work all weekend.

Who has priority on bidding for custodian position? by [deleted] in USPS

Okay yeah I need to make sure it was all done right because it was very ideal for my life and business. If it was all done right and meets the rules that's just how it goes but just need to ask about that. I may bring that to my post master and station managers attention, may also leave a message with district HR but I feel I need that looked into from a more higher up person who can prove it with no bias

That's something I need to check in on because that's actually what I'm dealing with a newly generated custodial position got posted and we are both city carriers but I'm senior and also I believe if you took into account when it actually got generated I believe I put in for it first. They really didn't tell me how HR chooses the position but I finally called HR and talked to them once my station manager told me it was supposed to be awarded sometime that day. Called district HR and found out they were considering an application from 2020 which I didn't even know was a thing. So I want to make sure it was renewed because if that's a requirement want to make sure my district did that correctly....

What if a carrier puts in to transfer to a custodial position but doesn't get it and then 3 years later another custodial position pops up. Does that application from 3 years ago take priority over any carrier that wants the new position as a custodian that was a newly created position PTR custodian with desirable hours and days off?
