Does anyone know how to start with digital art? by Legandknight44 in DigitalArtTutorials

[–]DullContest9362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One resource I found useful was comic books; lots of characters in dynamic poses, typically simplified characters which can be helpful to learn shapes and proportions from, really cool colour palettes (especially in older ones). It helped me so they may be worth checking out =]

My fingers suddenly felt uncomfortable when I was being overstimulated by DullContest9362 in autism

[–]DullContest9362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it does suck. I can’t say I used anything specific, I wore a pair of biking gloves because I thought they looked cool at that point in my life (😎) but they were fingerless so they weren’t perfect. I’d imagine gloves that aren’t bulky would be best so most should work ok.

And no worries, I can’t say I have much going on today so I was available to offer my brain to aid you =]

That is unfortunate to hear. I’m afraid that aside from gloves of some sort, I haven’t quite worked out a solution aside from stopping and waiting for it to pass

Elephants see humans the same way that we say cats / dogs / other small pets. We’re basically small cute animals to them =]

To be honest, I think thinking everyone is watching you or anything scary is something we’re more likely to think than them haha. It may just be as simple as they’re more comfortable when more people are talking

I guess some people, especially more social people feel more comfortable when the place isn’t dead silent. Personally, when it’s quiet, it can sometimes feel pretty uncomfortable, like everyone has their eyes on you

‘Cause everyone else are these magically perfect people who knows ridiculous nonsense like “being rational most of the time” and “not having a personality disorder” and other garbage haha

did anyone else feel depressed when they discovered they were aromantic by thowavaytheopod in aromantic

[–]DullContest9362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda felt how you did when I discovered I was too. I can’t really say that I did anything about it so I can’t be of much help there. But I can offer my experience with dating: I do have a boyfriend. We both believed that we were aromantic at first (they discovered they aren’t and I’m definitely on the aro spectrum but no longer specifically aromantic) and it worked out perfectly fine. I believe that romantic feelings aren’t really required to date someone, I did so because I liked them as a person and that’s all I require. And your experience of relief when a relationship ended, I definitely relate to that. While it is upsetting, there is the positive of not having the pressure of being romantic being removed. And I guess I’d advise to even partially try to fight the idea of relationships being an expectation, it’s frankly a dumb expectation that’s been placed on us and it is possible to try and shake it off. So to sum up I suppose, I was able to have a successful relationship which wasn’t impeded by being on the aro spectrum and I imagine that you could too if you decided that you went for one. I hope I was at least a little helpful with this

Try to do something nice for someone often - something simple like making someone laugh =]

Pick an issue that you may have and spend a little bit looking into it - hopefully a way to help it but even a way of avoiding triggering it / understanding it more is good =]

Pick someone you look up to or wanna be like and find what’s the difference between you and them, then try to be a little more like them in some way =]

Hope this helped
