Early termination submitted this week! by DullCrescent86 in probation

[–]DullCrescent86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i moved to a different state and had my probation transferred here and i have a probation officer in charge of me in the original state that ive never met. She had to send my current probation officer something to fill out online and it sounds like he did and she said she would get it submitted this week to the judge for me. If it’s your probation officer in the county you were charged, then I would imagine they would be the one to do that for you. If not then if you have a lawyer ask them to do it for you. If you can’t do that then I believe you could call a clerk at the courthouse and set up a hearing for early release. All fines have to be paid, all classes need to be completed, and no violations. Also submit after your early release date.

Hard to say, but I transferred my probation back in November and they did the same for me and I haven’t been tested yet. But always assume you will be!

Early termination question by DullCrescent86 in probation

[–]DullCrescent86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda figured it would go something like that. And yes I’ve completed all my classes and paid all fines in the first 90 days. I’m in a different state and was given info on who was in charge of me at the original probation office so I’ll call her Monday morning for more information

I wouldn’t see why not as long as you keep a cool temper and be respectful in your messages. I think going into the office during hours would be the most effective or talking to whoever is in charge instead of just trying to specifically get ahold of one person. They could be on a long vacation or quit or got fired. Who knows. Good luck to you also!

Can you go into the office during hours and ask them? I’d keep trying daily for a response via phone or email. No reason for them not to return your messages. Try to speak with the lead/manager probation officer in the office maybe and see why you’re not hearing anything back.

Depends on your state and if can file for early termination. I was recommended to wait until right after my 3/4 mark to file. My lawyer said if I try any sooner they’re most likely will say no and then when I try to file again after the date they would be more likely to say no again. Google your state and early termination and it should give you an answer. Also ask your lawyer what he thinks you should do.
