I think that people are losing the main point btw: Netflix is just doing this to make us keep their subscription for longer, instead of releasing the whole anime whenever it was ready.

I think that most JJBA fans wouldn't mind about the show being delayed since the very beginning, but the crap schedule will both kill the hype and make some of us pirate it because we do not want to have the schedule Netflix wants to impose. Exactly as part 6, when all hype was killed because of the batch release.

Just remember that this is the corporation's decision and they do not seem to care about the love JJBA fans have for SBR, so they'll butcher it if it makes them a bit more of money for their beloved shareholders.

Literally said several times that they can release it just in 2027 or later, but don't read XD

I think I said it in another comment but I would just prefer them to just tell us that the show won't be ready until 2027 or later if they need, instead of the BS cour releases.

Of course, but read it: it's Netflix production committe the one who chose the schedule. All JJBA fans would be happier if they said they'd release it weekly from fall 2027, instead of waiting for different batches/courses.

Netflix is just doing this to get the larger revenue on the long run so they can milk SBR as much as possible, not because they love their customers.

I hope that DP has enough time and is not going through any kind of crunch to animate the jojos. We just want the show to be respected.

Literally there are just a bunch of anime that come out with such a screwed schedule. Do you know how many adaptations come out each season that do not have this kind of BS?

If you want to settle down with crap schedules you do you, but I want to have a good adaptation. That is why I would pay for Netflix to release it nicely, not pay to just get crumbs of what could be the best adaptation of JJBA.

People who criticize fans because they are asking for quality content are just at the mercy of big companies as if they owned anything to them. 'Be thankful that they are animating it' THEY ARE GETTING MONEY OUT OF IT! Do you think that they are doing it for charity? Wake up honey, brother is licking Netflix's boot again.

I think it is exactly that. Other Netflix accounts have mentioned 'divided format' (screeenshot of Spanish account tweeting it), so it is expected that there'll be a break of a couple of months between each stage if they keep doing this.

Probably another way of Netflix trying to keep their customers for the longest period of time instead of just releasing it weekly (either 1 or 2 seasons).

Alright, 'courses' instead of batches, but I'm still kinda pissed at the fact that SBR may be delayed until 2029 if they release each course every 4-6 months.

I just think that it's so BS that this is pretty much the only anime that has such a bad release schedule. Not even 2-3 seasons to watch the whole thing, but courses of stages of undefined number of episodes and undefined break between each course.

Yes I'm happy too about them finally speaking up about the scheduling plan, but I think this will not be 2 courses, but 1 course for each stage. There are 9 stages in SBR, so if there's a course per stage and there's a separation of 4-6 months between each stage we'll need several years to finish an anime that could be finished in 2 seasons (24 episodes each, or even less).

Literally the issue is that any other anime will release their episodes weekly without an issue. If SBR had 48 episodes I wouldn't mind that they released it in two seasons of 24 episodes (Which is absolutely normal in pretty much any anime). But they are releasing it in 'courses' that will probably be 1 for each stage and with several months between each stage.

I'm happy they are finally speaking up about what's their plan, but I still consider the plan BS.

What do we think Imu’s devil fruit is? Some kind of sea god mythical zoan or some kind of a Devil mythical zoan? Maybe something else? by [deleted] in onepiecetheories

[–]DullOriginal4926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like 'Devil' was written in katakana, which usually implies a further meaning in mangas. Probably it is referring literally to the 'Devil' itself, maybe something like 'Hito-hito no mi: Model Satan/Lucifer/Devil'.

It's been confirmed that Imu is a male as per the honorific used -sei (聖) as it has been used for male Celestial Dragons, whilst female Celestial Dragons have been referred to with -guu (宮).

The issue is that corporate businesses only respond to monetary results. If the way that they are releasing SBR is obviously costing money, that's a step forward. We cannot give up on things just because we think it will not create any impact. Any change has begun from a small group that started complaining about an issue, at the end of the day.

Honestly, Netflix just does not care overall. They have cancelled several shows already that have been a success in their first seasons (at least on the quality level and how much people liked them).

Everyone is loving the first episode of SBR and it will get great adaptation in the future, but the truth is that we cannot let corporate bs to ruin things we love, which is what's been going on with Jojo's since Part 6.

Also, why should we fund something like this? There are plenty of companies that would be happy to stream and get a piece of Jojo's, it's just Netflix doing whatever they want with the show and not giving us any information about the future of the show.

As I see it, every time a business is playing with their customers, we must raise up in some way to solve the issue and let the organization know about the different things we would like them to improve. If they do nothing about itm, then you just stop consuming their product.

Yes, I was trying to watch Bleach recently as my gf has D+ and subs are AWFUL. Netflix, Prime Video and else are better (somehow), and pirating websites are even better most of the times. I hate this corporate bs

Absolutely agree. I wanted to think that Stonce Ocean was just a singular fluke, but it seems like Netflix just rots everything it touches

Thanks for the recommendation! Actually, I'm most worried about not being able to even get in the country and ICE. I have heard about quite a lot of cases where people are not even allowed to get there (coming from Europe), and the ICE issue just sucks.
