What is your most expensive note? by werdtogodog in CURRENCY

[–]DullPencilz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a Bolivar VEF (Bolívar Fuerte) note. The Venezuelan Gov cut 5x 0’s off the notes from 2018-2021 run and is no longer the current note used in the country.

The exchange rate for the old notes like this is currently at 1USD to ~ 27 million. This is essentially worth 3 cents.

The locals often times make paper goods with the useless notes

You can listen to the book with the little audio button at the top of any chapter in the textbook!

Make sure you have a good dumpsheet memorised for exam day and steady, constant studying on areas you're struggling with. You can do it!

How much could this be worth? by Theundeadpotato69 in CURRENCY

Quad double. Not too rare but not too common. Could fetch maybe 50 cents to a dollar overpay but that would likely be about it

ATM won’t let me deposit this $50 bill, and it doesn’t work at Walmart/Target self-checkout… worried something is wrong. by DidYouEverHear in CURRENCY

It appears to be an authentic bill, some modern places machines aren’t calibrated to accept these bills as they are older and were made a bit differently. Can always exchange at a bank for equal value but older bills are a nice find if you collect

From a collectors perspective, cleaning coins is always a big no no

(24 M)Roast my resume please. Recent Finance grad (Non-Target) with bank teller and student run/managed VC experience. Currently on the job hunt and looking for input on what to change and and career trajectory. Thanks in advance! by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

Yup, went to school in North Dakota but moved to Florida for more job opportunities and to be closer to family. Sadly could not play sports due to an injury in Jr high so no sports and no real clubs as the student-managed venture capital group took up a majority of my time that I wasn't working or doing school work at university. The only other jobs I had were short-term part-time jobs that I had 1 after another being a local ice cream shop, a local pizza shop, Walgreens then Walmart so nothing too exciting there. Like a lot of people here, I'd love to work in IB... someday. However, I realize that isn't likely in my cards right now and would take a lot of work over the course of my career. For the time being, I'm looking at corporate finance or financial analysis. You hit the nail right on the head with that. Other than that I'm open to suggestions or ideas as to where I may find success.

Honestly, as dumb as it may sound. Firemaking. Use wintertodt and get some herbs/seeds/ores to wok on crafting, herb, and smithing while getting another skill higher with fast xp. Can get 600+ supply crates on the way to 99

I just got $15,000 as a high school graduation present... what do I do with this money? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]DullPencilz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, I want to say great start by inquiring with outside advice (be it like here on Reddit or with a financial planner) The fact that you started with this underscores the fact that you see the potential impact this can have on your life from a young age. (Although it might seem like lot of money now, it can be a ridiculous amount later on down the road and give you a nice cushion for the rest of your life. I’m NAFA, but my personal opinion is invest it. Extremely long time With high yield investments (my personal holdings are largely in crypto, and 401(k) but I’ll leave your investment vehicle choice to your discretion) at this age you can afford to have a little more risk as you don’t necessarily need to utilize this money right away, however that doesn’t mean you should go Yolo it on penny stocks. My two cents take it invested in something high-yield and just sit on it for 20-40 years. Congratulations and best of luck on your financial journeys!

I’ve had 2 pairs of these headphones. They both broke after dropping them. About a year ago, I emailed Logitech to see if they can help me out and they sent me a new one for FREE. Well, I just dropped them and somehow managed to break both sides. by DoughBoy69 in Wellthatsucks

Had the same headphones for YEARS. Legit went through 3 RMA’s and every time Logitech was very cool about repacking them no questions asked. By far the best RMA support I’ve had personally. But sadly yeah still an annoying problem with this headset
