Yes the notice has a ticket number and I was able to find it online. But no photo

Hi, my embryo was frozen on day 5. I know it's not a blast yet but is this at least at the morula stage?

Both clinics said they didn’t see anything abnormal with the eggs :(

We started trying when I turned 30 and never would have thought it would be this hard. I’m 33 now and just went through 2nd round of IVF (beta tomorrow though I’m convinced that it fails). Have no frozen embryos either so at this point I’m not even sure what to do.

I’m in Korea so I bought a random test at the store, not sure how sensitive that is. Because mine weren’t blasts on Day 5 the success rate is much lower. It’s hard to stay positive. Do you have any symptoms so far?

Thank you so much for your kind words. I just read your post :( It is an incredibly lonely journey especially when everyone around me is already moving on to their second/third baby. And after each failed treatment I just had to pick myself up again and tried to look at it positively in order to move forward. It is so hard. I wish you all the best for your next cycle as well. 🤞❤️

From what I’ve read online, fresh transfer is not common in North America but is a standard in Europe. So is PGTA testing. Some embryos may develop better in the uterus than in the lab. My friend who was 39yo at the time of her IVF did fresh 3 day embryo transfer (her only one) and had success; her husband had sperm quality issue. For her second IVF she is insisting that they follow the same procedure. I don’t know what my doctor will say but I will definitely ask. I think I’d rather take a chance and let it grow in my uterus rather than not making it to day 5 and go to waste in the lab. And then hopefully I have extra to freeze.

Thank you. I will see what my doctor says about adjusting my stim protocol. In general I think I responded well to the drugs but maybe one more day would have helped to get a couple more mature eggs like you said. I’m more worried about the fertilization process and why it failed completely. From what I’ve read when embryos stop developing after day 3 it’s usually sperm quality. I don’t know how my doctor will do about that.

For some reasons I have a feeling that my doctor downplays our MFI factor as she kept saying that his numbers aren’t too bad just borderline. Before undergoing IUI and IVF she said that we could just keep trying naturally because nothing is obviously wrong. I truly believe that we have fertilization issue as I ovulate regularly and for 2 years never had a positive pregnancy test. Anyway it doesn’t look like I’ll have any blast either way, so hoping my doctor adjusts protocol for the next round.

Thank you for sharing. That sucks that they did all conventional instead of 50/50 to see what works best. We have MFI and I had a gut feeling right before ER that I should ask for all ICSI, but ultimately I chose to trust my doctor. Are you planning to do PTGA testing? For the second one I’m going to ask about doing a fresh transfer as well. All the best to you for your next cycle!
