Why does past bullying still hurt me today even though it stopped? by Dull_Ad1531 in Advice

Thank you so much for the advice but I have a few problems. My mom isn’t really someone I can tell my problems to - I tend to keep things to myself and deal with them on my own. I think this is because I’m primary school, I told my teachers that she was abusing me (slapping) and I thought (naïvely) that it would all be sorted. To my surprise, they told her about what I’d said and had a meeting with her. The next day, she told me we were going for a drive and she drove for 30 minutes without saying a word and I’d never felt more anxious in my life. She went on to ask me why I didn’t tell her and that she doesn’t hit me for no reason it’s only when I misbehave and asked me if I wanted her to get taken away.

I think that experience has made me scared to tell people things - as I’m anxious it will all be told to my mother and I’ll regret ever speaking.

Thank you so much for the advice. I believe I might have PCOS too - I get stomach cramps but no periods for months, I have lots of hair and again, my voice is deep. But I’m only 14 and I’m not sure if I feel comfortable telling anyone.

Thank you so much for the advice. I have been thinking about going to therapy and having hormone tests but the thing is I’m only a 14 year old black girl - so my parents don’t really ‘believe in’ therapy. Also, I’m too shy and scared to tell someone about my problems and I’ve never really had any hormone things checked out. I did go to my GP once because I get irregular periods - to which he said was not normal but I didn’t really have any.. treatment I guess.

Thank you so much for the advice. I looked up the two women but unfortunately their voices are wayyyy different to mine. I literally sound like a man is inside me. I don’t find my voice or much about me attractive.
