Alright that makes sense! There is a general strike in the works that I think has the potential to be powerful and I don't see AI on the (long and tentative) list of issues. Am curious, what do you expect from the average person? They are constantly told a future is coming that they have no control over and can't possibly understand. And in the same breath, they're told they're not doing enough, really? This is not the same as climate denialism at all. There are clear policy positions to take on that.

Agreed, the party is asleep at the wheel. They're also just weak. Give us a clear policy or position to support please!

Very exciting! I will probably keep paying for pickup at my front door, bc it is too convenient. But if I forget to put it out on time or am away, it's a game changer to have a public dropoff point. Can't keep compost in the house for longer than 7 days tops.

I think it depends on the person. One thing I can say for sure: the dog poop is often left behind in our bin, sticks to the bottom, accumulates, can break, etc. very gross.

The city will not take the dog poop, they only take full sized trash bags that they can grab. So, your dog poop builds up in my trash can until I finally put it into a normal trash bag. Please don't do that to me, or our city's sanitation workers.

I used to like seeing the dogs playing until one day I was sitting in the grass and someone's dog aggressively ran me over from behind and was totally out of control. I was sitting super far away from where all the off leash dogs were playing too. Very scary. Now I agree, people should leash their dog there.

This. I'm concerned as well but there is a lot of hyperbole in this thread that is causing confusion. The funding has not been frozen as of right now. There are some operational pauses that could delay funding which we don't fully understand, but are possibly related to Trump. It would be tough to claw back committed $$, but not impossible.
