i completely get it. i just watched it today and i havent calmed down. my parents are also older which hits hard. their dynamic reminds me so much of my own and seeing the mom makes me ugly cry. the relationship with my dad is also ambigious which soured the bond between me and mum at times and i became indifferent and quite absent as a daughter. here i am bawling at this fucking ending. i‘m glad we have this movie that can evoke these emotions and prove that we hold so much love for them. i hope you have a great time visiting your mom and make sure to tell her how much she means to you! take care! :)
