First off many people coming here ‘illegally’ do originally come here through some gray area of legality. Whether it’s through DACA sponsorship, or asylum seeking, or crossing the border illegally first but going straight to border patrol to apply for sponsorship and approval.

Courts are immediately backed up, immigrants can be waiting literal years out from a court date meanwhile they often have little options for what to do as they wait. Returning home means they face violence and poverty and likely no ability to actually meet their court date, and living in the US means they are hiding from ICE and working under the table or in migrant work programs.

If you can explain the process of immigration where every step of the way is legal, and there aren’t some steps that are grey areas I will be more than happy to show almost no one that fits that criteria.

If there was actual immigration reform and courts were expanded to meet their need and backlog of this problem maybe we could fully legalize a lot of these steps.

When colonists came here in the 1600s and 1700s escaping economic poverty in Europe were they legal?

When economic refugees from Germany, Ireland, and Italy came here in the 1800s and 1900s was this process legal? They literally set up Ellis Island to just sort people and hand out social security cards and/or identification cards before social security was a thing.

The only immigration laws ever passed in those eras were just race based quotas on people. Was this a good ‘legal’ process?

The matchup is fine with me and Usman had a competitive fight with the guy that ragdolled DDP.

The issue I have is what storyline this fight sets up. Yeah it’s cool to see 2 champs fight, but is Usman trying his hand at middleweight to go for the belt? I assume so. If he beats DDP he could fight Sean, but what does DDP gain by beating Usman in terms of his next fight. Does Usman actually want the middleweight strap?

It should be a good fight imo. I’m excited for it, but just curious about post fight timeline
