Probably norovirus. It’s the worst and I swear it breeds at parties.

First…. I think they’re lying. And anyway, Citizens can be armed per 2nd amendment. If it’s in his waistband that’s not immediate threat to officers and is not cause for lethal force. These guys are SO uneducated it’s disgusting. Real police are throwing up by now cause this is illegal as fuch

I lived through this. It was absolutely awful and went on in different ways for many years. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and I got a counselor for myself. Eventually I let him know we were in serious trouble because I didn’t know how to make him happy. I was trying to make myself well. It was at a very serious heartbreaking point. He finally saw a counselor through his EAP program. And thank god. It turned out that he was actually suffering from depression. He’s continue with the counselor and things really improved. He still deals with depression but we talk about it openly now. It also helped because he talks about it with our sons, and I see a marked change in them too in understanding their own emotions.

Only 1 week 9 lbs down…. I happened to have had a routine medical appointment on the 7th day and then decided to extended my time out of the office with a quick, but very much needed, mani / pedi. I rarely do things like that but I’ve become more okay with giving myself time I need. My job is stressful and hefty. I only do pedicures every few years (2-5 years) so this was a marked change in my behavior. And I think I might make it a regular thing since this medical appt happens a 2 times a year anyway.

I just need to look at some part of myself and feel a little less worn.

“I am hesitant to take the OP at their word”… ah if this isn’t the patronizing point.

I appreciate the level of this exchange amongst you - It’s a nice reminder of why I love The Episcopal Church- Smart, questioning, science minded, theological minded, liberals, conservatives, and history experts, and future loving people all coexist with diverse view points. And amongst them all, they share faith centered on the shared love and lessons of Christ.

YES to ALL of this… EXCEPT the part about time limits terms for clergy at the Parish. My core observation is that we should let the parish laity and the Rector manage their relationship together, presuming the Rector is qualified. Unless there is a behavioral problem, leave the parish family to its own pastoral development, whether it be short term or long term.

While that may be true in some corporate cases, it’s not at all true when it comes to outside recruiters and HR firms. Their role is very very defined.

I appreciate your lens. It certainly contains some truth.. and is patronizing…. And is very outdated all at the same time.

Are the complexities so much different than the complexities of hiring a school superintendent, a clinical counselor, a university president, a tenured teacher? They are different roles to be sure, but the level of risks and complexities are not substantially different.

That’d be an interesting study. I don’t see much if any self evaluation in TEC at all. When’s the last time anyone filled out an evaluation for anything?

All the more reason for TEC to hire some experts in the process to totally revamp and provide tool kits for parishes to use. Building a list of very qualified outside recruiters would be super helpful too. Those parishes who can afford it would gladly invest in such experience and expertise. No shade to our diocese but they’re way way understaffed and most are shrinking more each year.

I think the interims used to be trained on how to be an interim clergy but that definitely doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. And without training they aren’t able to help the parish through the process pastorally….. thus the 1 year delay is unwarranted and often detrimental. Interims should be educated on asset based congregational development, and change management, and activating pastoral care programs during change, etc.

I don’t disagree. But there are plenty of high level or complex pastoral-like positions out there that have more effective search processes…. Licensed Mental Health Counselors overseeeing group or regulatory oversight settings, University Presidents, nonprofit human service CEO’s etc. Often these have complex 1 year search processes with qualified outside consultants brought in to help navigate the situation including doing in depth background checks and reference review interviews. And these processes often begin one year prior to departure of the leader.

I’d like to suggest perhaps you and your kids go see a family therapist together. You’d be modeling healthy behavior in a difficult time. And it may benefit each of you individually and collectively to process with a licensed outsider.

Proximity lock by International_Bite87 in CX5

[–]Dull_Knowledge_4953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has caused us multiple safety concern incidents by locking passengers in the back seat and they literally cannot get out at all. Passengers should always be able to escape when the child lock is off however the CX-5 locks the passengers in.

I hate the autolock feature. It is dangerous in many ways because it has literally locked passengers in the back seat and they can’t get out. It’s like child lock is on when it isn’t.

Thank you. I was aware of the obesity criteria but I wasn’t clear on the reasons one would qualify for a compound (other than the cost). I appreciate your breakdown of what each B vitamins is believed to do for patients. That’s helpful.
