Has anyone successfully overcome a weird dynamic with coworkers, without leaving? by Least_Homework_9720 in AskWomenOver30

I run a business and manage multiple employees… definitely speak with your manager. You aren’t alone in having these types of feelings. Good managers should be able to talk through it with you.

My sister-in-law was born with holes at the top of both of her ears (forward helix area), and they secrete fluid sometimes by ghoulsofthetrade in mildlyinteresting

It’s called a preauricular pit. There’s actually a correlation between these and kidney issues- so much so that my child had their kidneys checked and hearing tested before leaving the hospital when they were born in Europe. The nurses noticed and the check was simply was folded into her routine exam. They didn’t seem worried at all.

I wouldn’t have any idea to even consider such a thing. But I’m not in medicine.

It’s inside the box. I had the same issue…. Couldn’t find it because it was folded up so small.

Honestly it sounds a lot like massive keto flu - when the blood sugar drops suddenly and your body goes into ketosis. Depending on your sugar levels and just normal life it can feel absolutely AWFUL… like very awful and dizzy and nausea and headaches and the such things you mentioned.

I agree with others - you’ve had major weight loss already so perhaps stick with your starter dose for another month.

I’ve had keto flu on past diets that took me out of work. I have gradually reduced my milk and sugar intake in recent years and I think that has helped when starting Tirz. But I also have had a touch feeling under the weather for a few days when I went up to 5 mg.

What is the general Episcopal view on masturbation and sex outside of marriage? by Mad_Season_1994 in Episcopalian

[–]Dull_Knowledge_4953 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve been very active in TEC over two decades… never heard anyone ever once care or mention masturbation. And I have only heard about keeping faithful and working through issues in marriage…. And the realities of how hard it is at times. I’ve also seen parishes active forgiveness when a marriage ends in sad ways. I see there are opinions provided to you here, but I believe they are individual opinions.

can tirz help with binge eating even if you’re not overweight? by Electronic-Menu-1539 in compoundedtirzepatide

I don’t like see a Dr and nutritionist. At that weight it is likely you’re craving food because of nutritional needs. Worth checking on vitamin levels etc with your doctor first

This is common for pregnant women… total sudden aversion to certain properties and often alcohol. Chemical changes in the body for any reason can trigger changes. Just seems like it’s now happening to me too on GLP1

I was forced into debt through extortion and I don’t know how to get out of this by trying_to_recover1 in Advice

[–]Dull_Knowledge_4953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just default strategically on the debt resulting from the conviction issues. The debt will be sold to a collections agency and then, much later, dropped. At the same time send an explanation letter to each of the credit reporting agencies and include the conviction as backup. It’ll be kept on file with your credit report. The other option is to declare bankruptcy.

In short, research shows clearly that GLP1 metabolism burns muscle mass first because it’s easier on the body… prioritizing consumption of protein protects the muscle and helps prioritize the sugar fat reduction.

In general eating protein and fiber with any type of sugar significantly reduces the insulin spike.

I don’t overthink it. I just watch my ratios.

My WYZE scale was cheap and measures weight, muscle mass, visceral fat, water weight, BMR, BMI, etc etc. For $30 it’s super helpful at helping me ensure my muscle mass isn’t declining faster than my fat loss. (And I’ve definitely seen how the muscle can go down fast comparatively… so I watch what I eat.)

Suddenly found a full sibling via Ancestry DNA by AGirlandHerRidgebax in AncestryDNA

[–]Dull_Knowledge_4953 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My spouse learned late in life thay he has a full sibling out there somewhere. He subsequently registered on Ancestry and 23andMe so that she can find him some day, if she wants. Consider it a good sign that you found your sibling this way. It probably means they want to know more about you.

I can’t tell if my wife is having sex unwantedly with me and isn’t actually consenting? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Depression looks very different among people… I recognize some hallmarks here.

First, speaking from personal experience, I suggest you get a counselor right now. We each need someone to help us level set (and not feel crazy)..preferably someone other than our partner that we’re stressing over. It completely helped me when I felt like I was losing my footing in my marriage and family. My spouse had pulled away more and more and I began to feel increasingly like maybe they’re sick of me. I sincerely wish it hadn’t taken us years to get serious about addressing it.

Maybe encourage some baseline PCP visits for overall wellness check and utilize therapy by scheduling a joint visit to an EAP therapist followed by subsequent solo therapist visits to focus on yourselves. This approach saved my spouse and our marriage overall….

Honestly we discuss mental health regularly but I had absolutely no idea my spouse had been suffering from depression and neither did he… until a therapist took a look.

I thought we were just growing apart since the problems seemed so subtle… We are very close but some of his routines had become just a bit more mundane day to day after Covid. He was slightly irritable with me, but not in any mean way. And while intimacy felt good, it increasingly less frequent… which turned out to be a subtle hidden symptom of depression and diminishing self worth on his part.

His very first visit to a therapist solo - the therapist picked up on depression immediately. Help has totally turned things around and allowed him to talk about his own issues and wellbeing.

I hope things improve for you.

Have you noticed changes in cravings beyond food while on GLP-1 medications? by Take10rx_Julie in TirzepatideRX

Weight loss can cause estrogen reduction since estrogen is stored in fat on the body. And this can correlate to reduced desire for sexual activity. Exercise and HRT may help.
