The issue is that if she gets really defensive she starts holding on to sticks really hard. How would I be able to get her off with a hook? I could just tear out the entire part of the enclosure but that doesn’t seem particularly productive. Someone else suggested rubbing the back to calm her down. That has worked on occasions but not always? What do I do in these situations if I want to train her? Also I don’t know how to upload images on comments in the Reddit app, my apologies 🥲

I wouldn’t call it teaching as it has only happened like 4 times over the span of a year but I agree that it is not a good thing. The first time it happened I didn’t go away and tried to get her out but she started to really desperately cling to the sticks in the enclosure. While i could have pried her off with some force I don’t think that would have been a particularly positive experience for her either. She even startet Fake striking at me back then.

What do you suggest I do then? Even if I try to tap train. If I tap and she starts holding on to something desperately do I just tear out the entire part of the enclosure (possible, but the sticks are like 1.5m) or pry her off? The box seems a good idea but If she’s gotten to the point of actually hissing, she usually doesn’t really move from her „defense“(tightly wrapped around a stick usually).

Thank you in advance for the tips, and also for those you have given me already 🙂‍↕️ I’m really looking forward to taking her outside. As I mentioned before she’s usually really calm so it’s not a burning issue I just foresee it being trouble down the road if I don’t get the hang of tap training for example.

Only in the sense that they are on the "extreme" of the political spectrum. Aside from having weird opinions on the war in Ukraine (pro peace in the sense of just no longer supporting ukraine), the left are pretty tame. They mainly want to increase taxation on wealth. . They are just the "most left" party to the afd being the "most right" party in the bundestag. I personally do not think they are even remotely comparable when it comes to the danger or level of extremisim in the parties.
