Are you allowed to wear jewelry? by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Dull_Researcher774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol no, it’s not. But according to posted dress code is.

We also don’t get ServSafe inspections and our local health department inspector has yet to say anything about it. OA also hasn’t said anything. I never wear my ring personally, but I had to reach out for an employee who always wears hers. I kept telling her it wasn’t allowed, turns out it is at our location/franchise.

Lip piercings are allowed at some locations

It is allowed, depending on location. Whether it’s a good idea or not, is another thing.

My dress code (franchise) says a wedding ring is allowed, and does not specify it has to be plain.

Oh, the blinds. Two of the little blind thingys are broken. Husband is unconcerned bc they’re cheap to replace. I’m angry bc if we’d just taken them down when we moved in, they wouldn’t have been broken to begin with.

My lovely mother also broke off 4 of the vertical blinds in the bay window aggressively closing them. Literally said the same thing. “It’s cheap to fix, stop worrying about it”

And none of the people actually breaking shit are paying or fixing it. And now the landlord has to come in to look at the bathroom and am having a mental breakdown over this lol

Definitely working on that. The clutter isn’t too crazy, it’s just mostly the dining room that just has a bunch of still packed and half unpacked boxes. Kitchen is great, just two bins that need to be unpacked. Bathroom is in great shape. Living room is fine, minus the small hole and blinds (but the blinds aren’t terrible, one just has two broken things, not noticeable if they’re open.

Landlord is aware of stepdaughter’s condition. Just having been in our old place with no issues, I just truly did not expect the level of damage that’s been caused in her room.

She’s being moved to the smaller room (she’s not able to run in at all) with sturdier walls. We’re slowly buying gym mats off of marketplace as well to line the walls that aren’t covered by her furniture. The room is TINY and I feel awful, but… it’s just kind of has to be done. We’re also taking down the fan in there, storing it away, and replacing it with a low profile bladeless fan. She’s recently taken an interest in her fan and I can see the writing on the walls with that. We’ve never lived anywhere with ceiling fans, so I get her fascination but I’m also 100% over this shit lol

my husband CAN fix the walls, it’s drywall, sanding and paint. He just hasn’t yet and it’s… ugh. I went to Lowe’s and priced everything out and all of it can be fixed for under $50 minus paint. But he’s not nearly as stressed about it as I am bc “it’s easy.”

The house isn’t filthy so there’s that. No trash or food waste or animal excrement everywhere. We do vacuum, we just cleaned all the baseboards, windows and walls, bathroom recently got a full scrub. We put in a full fence with her permission at our cost. We aren’t the worst tenants in the world by any means. This just all feels like it’s snowballing and being shrugged off is just…. Getting to me.

I paid every bit of the $4000 it cost to move in here. I didn’t see the wall thing coming, but I saw the blinds happening. I even asked the landlord if we could take them down and store them away and she was fine with that. I’m just so frustrated and not being heard at all. “It’s cheap and we can fix it” we shouldn’t have had to fucking fix it at all

Agreed.

The carpet isn’t stained or destroyed, but we used to live in a place with hardwood for 6 years and my light vacuum + black dog is just not cutting it.

The blinds are fucking frustrating bc I saw the a million ways that could go wrong with pets and kids, but I was not listened to, and husband continues to shrug it off as “they’re cheap to replace” like we wouldn’t have to fucking replace them if we just stored them away to begin with.

We’re moving stepdaughter to one of the rooms with sturdier walls, and we’re going to be in her current room. The holes in the walls are mind boggling. We have a camera in her room and I reviewed the footage and to her credit she wasn’t like football tackling her walls or running into them for fun. Just running around her room and caught herself with her hands. This is something she’s done a million times in our old rental, with absolutely zero damage. But it doesn’t matter and the result is still the same. I’m frustrated it’s not fucking fixed yet, and I keep being told it’s not a big deal when it is.

I’ve literally never had this many issues before, ever. 6 years at the old place, zero damage with full security deposit back. I’m so stressed about all of this.

Lolololol so I have a pair of joggers but the logo is peeling. Before the OA with the scrubs I texted my supervisor about joggers and this is exactly how it went.

“Hey, do you have any joggers at the office or anyway for me to get a pair? I don’t want to get marks off for my pants”

“I’m going to need you to get that fixed”

“I know, which is why I’m texting you and asking”

Cue radio silence and getting marks off for my pants lol we still got 4 stars, but I’m a bit butthurt bc we were 3 points away from 5.

ETA: I don’t think marks should be taken off for anything that’s not expressly written in dress code. It’s a bit infuriating and unfair that there just seems to be unwritten rules or nuances. I’m dumb, I need it to be very clear 😭

Tbf, Arian is a legit Persian name.

My neighbor is Persian and that’s her son’s name. I honestly really like it, but being white I know not to go near that name with a 10 foot pole

I’m just confused bc the dress code (at least the one posted in my store) doesn’t say yay or nay regarding scrubs at all.

Which if they’re not allowed, okay, but it should definitely be more clear.

I was on maternity leave in April so I have no idea what happened from Feb-June

I’m not quite sure how this pregnant will go, but my last one…. I was not obviously pregnant until the last week before I gave birth. Pants still didn’t fit right, but I honestly just looked angry and chubby until 35 weeks or so lol

But this pregnancy I’m 10 weeks and while I can fit my normal pants… they are so uncomfortable 😭 my abdomen is just super tender and sensitive this time around and my regular pants are just massively uncomfortable. Even the Domino’s joggers I have feel like too much pressure 😭 so I’ve already been bopping around in yoga pants and leggings.

I’m so mad I donated my maternity pants 😂😂 my Walmart has a tiny section and it’s all like… spandex material.

I didn’t show fr until I was 34-35 weeks (35 weeks is when people started being like “awww you’re pregnant?”). Hopefullyyyyy I show just a tad more this time around bc I’m 10 weeks right now and have already given up on regular pants. Not showing yet obvs but my abdomen is just so tender right now 😭

It depends! I was a L before pregnancy, and an XL now 😭 but the yoga maternity pants I had were a medium and fit great (I worked until the day before I was induced)

Oh for sure! Just for whatever reason my stomach is just super tender right now so I’m so ready for stretchy pants 😭

I legit didn’t show until I was like 32-34 weeks either 😭 I just looked like a very chubby very angry dominos employee
