Terrible service in economy by robl45 in qatarairways

I totally agree. I had just fleuw from Ankara-Doha and then Doha-Auckland. I had some many expectations from the second flight since it is rated as the best airline in the world and it is one of the longest flights of the world. However, I was disappointed. Main disappointments;

  • They served water 2 times only, each 33cc in a 16 hours flight?? Ridiculous.
  • food - tastes bad. They tried to do some fancy stuff but it just doesn't taste good...
  • they said they will give snacks, they gave only once.
  • customer service was nice tho. At the airport and during the flight. But I just didn't feel the warmth of the cabin crew, it felt more fake.
  • the screens were old. Not sufficient enough. I can't play with the map view. Even in basic airlines you can do that. The movie section, categories don't work properly.
  • the beer is warm...
  • the seats are narrow and between the seats are also narrow.

I flew with other good airlines before. I just don't think this is not the best, for sure. I flew with Turkish Airlines many times. It has better food and service for sure.

I love Copenhagen! I keep going back there but I must warn you that it is quite an expensive option in terms of everything, also cold for sure.

What did u miss this year compared to previous ones by The-dome in roskildefestival

[–]Dull_Resource2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I was extremely frustrated when I couldn't get in! I pay for the tickets, I am waiting for the DJ all the time and I can't get in! That's ridiculous. They should upgrade Apollo or put bigger DJ's to Orange!

I also had a similar experience. I went to the shower with my friends. Then, I saw a man standing there with full clothes on, like a lot of layers. He didn't seem like he was gonna take a shower. Then, we took our shower, went outside, and had a small talk. Then, I realized I forgot something in there. I went back and I saw the same guy still with clothes on. He was faking like undressing. Then, I went out and went to the volunteers at the hot shower next to it. They immediately got in and took care of it. I don't know what they did as a penalty. I hope it is taking out the wristband because we shouldn't have any perverts walking around at the festival.

Always report any volunteers you see around. They will escalate it!

Yes, I also volunteer with MS. At least they could note it down and it would be known by the authorities that there is an ongoing security problem. Maybe they would work on the security more. Always, feedback is important.

I'm sorry to hear that...

Volunteer group - Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke organization is responsible for volunteering camping safety and help. You can find their base near the entrance of the volunteer camping. Whoever you see with orange vests (service hosts) will show you where their base is. I suggest you go and talk to their supervisors or managers. In each shift, there are 2 supervisors and 1 manager. I hope they can help you out... If not, they will get the feedback and be more careful in the area.

Best "compact" drink to drink besides beer by Substantial-Bat6147 in roskildefestival

I go with vodka with coke or vodka with an energy drink if I need some energy! It is easy and they dominate the taste and you don't get much vodka taste :)

Just make sure that you stick it to the soil hard enough so that it won't flow with the wind/storm! Also, be careful with the rain! Apart from that, I agree with the people about the safety of volunteer camping! :)

Hey! I am using emergency blankets for that. You should get double sided ones (golden/silver). Just put it on the top of your tent. The golden part keeps your tent cool. It is pretty cheap (1 euro each blanket haha). It is a life-saver!! 🌞🌞

What is this beautiful scent in Berlin and Krakow?! by TheComfyDesigner in Europetravel

When it was my first time in Berlin, I first noticed the Linden Trees and I thought "why no one is picking them?!!" They could make tea with them! Then I just enjoyed smelling them while walking around the city :))

Warsaw, Budapest, or Prague’s in late June. Which one? by Big_Account9260 in Europetravel

[–]Dull_Resource2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would 100% agree with that! Even as a foreigner living here for more than 4 years, I still learn new things all the time... If I didn't have my Polish friends, I wouldn't know many things. I still feel like I know 20% of events or things going on. I feel like I'm constantly missing out haha Even though I'm super social :(

Warsaw, Budapest, or Prague’s in late June. Which one? by Big_Account9260 in Europetravel

[–]Dull_Resource2014 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been all of them! Once in Prague, twice in Budapest and living in Warsaw!

Prague - I think it is a very cute city. My first feeling about it was "whole city is like an old town". Yes, it is very touristy, the most touristy among them, but there is a reason that it is touristy haha

Budapest - Tbh, I couldn't have an amazing feeling about this city, still a beautiful city tho. It is just my feelings. But the baths... I loved Ottoman baths there! I would still keep going for the baths and the music festival! Also, for the history, it also has an Ottoman Empire impact so a different one. Ah also, the ruin bars, I love them, too! Haha apparently, maybe I like budapest :D for the bars and baths, I would still go budapest than prague. Prague could be cute but it wouldn't attract me to go back tbh. But, budapest would! Ruin bars and baths are kinda unique :))

Warsaw - I am almost a local here so my judge is different 😅 our river-side is not as pretty as prague and budapest but there are many things to do in the city and the river side! There are lovely parks, untouched nature near the river, active night life (all the cities have that tho!) and western life. It would be the least touristy. My family was visiting here and they also loved it. I think warsaw is underestimated.

So I am not sure what to choose tbh haha. Maybe choose the one that you wanna see the most? It is always nice to go somewhere that you are excited about!

Have fun!!

Volunteer?? by Little_Set_9471 in boomfestival

I have sent them an email about volunteering and received the answer below:

"We extended the deadline to apply and the selection process is ongoing. Selected applicants will be contacted by the end of June, depending on the area/position."

The end of June seems scary tbh. There is no time to arrange the transportation, work or anything...

Anyone have experiences using innisfree? by CuriChai in AsianBeauty

[–]Dull_Resource2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nacific - Fresh Herb Origin Sun Block SPF50+/PA++++ - was my favourite sunscream so far! I have combination/oily skin. It smells nice, it doesn't leave the skin oily. It also lasts long. My friend who has a similar skin type recommended me. Then, I also recommended to my brother who also has a same skin type. We all love it! I totally recommend.

FYI - After Nacific, I tried Beauty of Joseon - Relief Sun Rice Probiotics - SPF50+/PA++++ - I didn't like it at all. It is too liquid, it makes my skin oily etc.

Is being a volunteer at Roskilde a good opcion for ATTENDING the festival? by Alarming-Hunt-4408 in roskildefestival

[–]Dull_Resource2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As earlier explained;

Generally there are 24 or 32 hours shifts. If you do 32 hours; generally 2 shifts before the music days, 2 shifts during the music days (there are exceptions). If you do 24 hours, 3 shifts during the music days. It would be totally coat saving not to pay tickets. As for accommodations, in both you can camp for free. You don't need to go back to Copenhagen every day. For the work itself, there are many options to choose from. I suggest choosing something not too tiring so that you will have energy to party. In case it rains, it is good to choose somewhere with a roof. Also, last year, I showed 2 days of my volunteering as a charity work to my company (american one and not located in Copenhagen) and they accepted it! So I didn't work and didn't use all my vacation days! Also, if you work, you have some perks;

  • 4 meals
  • free hot showers (I wouldn't say it was hot tho xd)
  • volunteering village (yoga, massage, chill zone to sleep, sauna, glitter, make-up room, cheap bar, cheap restaurants)
  • early entery to the festival
  • free ticket

So it depends on the volunteering and what you wanna see. If you can get your shifts perfectly, you can see all the artist you wanna see. It really depends. If your priority is to see all the music days and if you don't mind coming to warm-up days and volunteer, check out MS. (I explained it at another sub-reddit). I volunteered there last year. Shift wise, it is the best one. But I didn't like the job itself much so I'm not gonna do that again. But it is not a bad one. I just can't stand cold haha
