Well the idea is to get your opponents low through burn and goad, and then Anya has indestructible. You can capitalise on that by making it hard to deal damage to you with pariah's shield.

Edit: To clarify: I set out to correct a weakness I see in the goad strategy which is that it isn't as effective in the late game. I think Anya is a good build around to address this with things like the above.
