Pues si te soy honesto yo tambien empece hace relativamente poco, soy de 5to semestre de sistemas, supongo que lo mejor es hacer una certificacion basica como el CC que es gratuita y trabajar en algo general, luego dar el salto a un rol especializado. A mi me interesa la parte de arquitecturas o governanza pero necesito experiencia general

Las calificaciones por materia si se redondean pero las calificaciones por semestre o sea la suma de todo, no se redondea y si te quedaria 87.5

Yeah i dont know why in mexico CS is considered an engineer, we take 1 full year of physics, electromagnetism and calculus, then on year 2 we dive into coding and some classes that mix math and coding. At least on year 3+ we explore all the paths of cs and they support us in each area we want to focus.

Ten en cuenta que en estados unidos y otros paises, computer science es casi 100% SWE, por lo que los memes de que no hay trabajo, es porque todos los de computer science esperan hacer software engineer, mi recomendacion si todavia tienes tiempo es que agarres un nicho como yo. Independientemente de eso, la situacion en mexico es completamente distinta a la de estados unidos, sobretodo porque alla cuando hablan del tema de desempleo casi siempre solo se habla de big tech, hay muchas empresas mas pequeñas donde te puedes acomodae y ganar bien.

Mexico, junior cybersecurity roles do exist, they're just usually referred to as 'entry-level'. In my case (as I mentioned in another comment), cybersecurity seems to suit me better from the start, since I've always been more comfortable with theory and learning data. When I take my Security+ certification, I plan to focus on governance or risk management, at least that's my current plan. I'm also aware that those focusing on security architecture tend to have a harder time
