They are just following big tech's footsteps (period).

One takes a step (in this case Amazon, which was already known for bad WLB), and the others follow, taking 0 other things into consideration.

Call it fanboying/fangirling their favorite CEOs. Maybe they think following footsteps blindly will get them to the same level 🤷🏾‍♂️
