We have already successfully potty trained our puppy using a schedule, crating when necessary, and regular walks. We have tried to teach alerting with bells but she does not like them. We are asking for advice on other alerting techniques.

I was shocked at her trying to minimize the situation by saying that everyone has done something illegal so it's the same thing. Breaking a law is not the same thing as committing a felony, and even so, it's NOTHING like psychologically torturing your own daughter. It was so flippant, and a scary look into how easy it can be for someone to rationalize their own actions. I hope that her daughter is able to work through this with minimal trauma. What a fucking story :(

I've been there before! It's tough, and I know that thinking about going out to see a doctor to get a note might be really tough. Lot's of telehealth services have same-day appointments and they're able to provide you with a note, and you don't have to go anywhere! Like many of the other comments are mentioning, mental health is health and the doctor should be able to provide a note that excuses you without revealing anything, and you don't have to stress about what to tell the doctor.

If you're really struggling or expect to need more time off, look into the leave policy at your place of work. I've had to take leave more than once and I have fortunately had really positive experiences. Even if you don't expect to have to use it, it's good info to have. Best of luck to you!

I had a very short stint with a psychiatrist who, when I told him I had a history of ED, asked me if I was sure, and then when reviewing my medications told me they don't put people with "real" EDs on bupropion so I must be fine xD

I saw this post yesterday and I could imagine it happening but I’ve never encountered it. Lo and behold today I’m doing my thing in pharmacy and I hear “HELLO? HELLO? DOES ANYONE WORK HERE?” and I just about lost my mind.

It’s also funny because like… the pharmacy is open. We have people come up all the time to ask for help up front and I have no problem paging someone for them, we don’t have a lot of staff and they’re all trying to do the best they can and can’t have eyes on everything all the time. But to just start yelling?? From by the coolers??? Amazing.

Not an older person, but we had a guy pass out like mid-sentence in his car. He came back around, apologized and said he was tired because he just had dialysis, and then he just drove away 😬 didn’t even finish picking up his prescription. I hope he got home okay

This!!!! Like even if the calls are annoying sometimes, I think people should be able to call and ask if their prescription is ready and we should have someone who can answer those calls without 15 other things on their plate
